This is an excellent and refreshing deviation from the typical hack-and-slash video game on the market. Wild Earth has excellent graphics, and an expansive world in which to view and photograph African animals. In this game you do not shoot, run-over, and kill everything in site, instead, you are assigned various photography assignments and must return with the assigned photographs. I intend to use this game in my high school photography class. This will allow the students to try composition (rule-of-thirds, framing, lines, etc), looking at subjects from different angles, timing, etc. I had a great deal of fun wandering the various parts of the world trying to compose these animals in creative ways. For $20 this non-violent game can't be beat.

Fun for the Whole Family!!

My son sat on my lap while we installed the game, and though I usually just get him set up in a game and let him take it from there, we ended up playing it together for his whole "screen time" that day, though the controls were easy enough where he was quickly able to do everything himself. The game is multi-layered enough where my 5 year old son and I were both equally enthralled with the game play, beautiful graphics, and all the things we learned from the game. I even caught my husband, who's normally an MMORPG player, playing it by himself one night! The ride at the San Diego Zoo was such a teaser - there is so much more to the PC game. And it's so nice to have a game that's not violent in any way. What a bargain for all the giggles and fun family time!

Fun and Educational!

This is a great game that allows you to explore interesting landscapes, see a wide variety of animals, and learn more about them. I purchased this game because I teach photography and I was interested in the approach used for this. What I didn't expect was that my 11-year old son would like it. It's nice to have him shooting things with a camera rather than a gun. Overall, this surpassed my expectations! I wish there were more fun educational games like this for his age group.
