This version of Risk I thought was an overall bad idea because it just played of the original. furthermore, the original RISK 1 disk was more than good enough in every department. The company who released this video game was just trying to "update" the game in which didn't needed to be updated. bad job over all

This is a very faithful recreation of the boardgame experience. In fact, I wished they have gone for even more of a classic feel, because the CG battles were more of a distraction, and doesn't feel right when you are mainly playing on a game board. The only disappointment was that I thought this would include the original European map, but it didn't. Really, I mean, does it kill them to have that thrown in with the game? Overall, I had a great fun with it, and it's so addictive that I've afraid to boot it up:)

If you like playing the board game you will love this game. It does the work of counting your armies for you and you won't have to "make change" any more! You have the pleasure of being able to play a game against computer opponents and can easily save a game and resume it later. I like Tournament mode where you try to accomplish specific missions and progress to higher levels doing so.

The Ultimate Risk made by Hasbro was great. Atari screwed it all up and makes it look like a toy soldier game. If you are into toy soldiers get the atari garbage. If you are into strategy games try to find the hasbro version.

On a Friday evening in college, were you ever involved in a Risk game marathon? If so, this new version will bring back the memories with improvements.
The graphics add to the attraction of this favorite. While you enjoy the strategy of global domination or choose the mission option, either way you will enjoy.
Try it for yourself and bring back the memories plus the alure of improvements.

This game is great. An excellent representation of the original board game. Same time risk is a whole new game that is just as addictive as the original. However, the problem with the game is that a 2 player game is, for some reason, taken out of game. It is really fustrating that there has to be 3 players to start a game.
