if you're a risk fan you'll like this game, but i'm not sure how much better it is than the many free versions of the game available around the net. some cool features, but no online play, which is ridiculous with a game like this.

I purchased this for my boyfriend as a gift. He loves the board game, and was able to easily teach me how to play on this. Graphics are great, the sound is entertaining for a while, but it gets a littl bit agravating. I thought it was great on the pc, but he thought it was better as a board game because he gets to roll the dice by hand. Personal preference there I suppose. He said the dice are half the fun of the game. Risk does get you thinking and stratagizing. It's probably good to boost your IQ, though that's just my thought. I don't know. Oh, one more thing. If you're in a bad mood and want to just take over the world, break out a pc game of Risk and go for TOTAL DOMINATION. Lol

This is a step down from Hasbro's earlier version of Risk, which featured 5 different maps to play on, beautiful graphics and a better interface. This one has only the classic Risk board, which gets dull in a hurry. The battle interfaces are awkward and ugly and the computer opponents consistently inept. Save your money, or look for the previous version.

We ordered a DVD through Amazon via Sail On. They sent us a used DVD (no packaging), which did not work. After stringing us along, we returned the DVD and were promised a replacement or refund. Needless to say, they have avoided our e-mails since. I would recommend NOT dealing with Sail On Software.

I thought that this game was very good. The simultous play brought the game to a new level and the dice makes it so 1 man can take out 20. Very interesting oppents and tourdoment is very challenging. There are also very nice ways to choose teritories.

If you like playing the board game you will love this game. It does the work of counting your armies for you and you won't have to "make change" any more! You have the pleasure of being able to play a game against computer opponents and can easily save a game and resume it later. I like Tournament mode where you try to accomplish specific missions and progress to higher levels doing so.
Fun Game, easy to learn, lifetime to master.

This is a very faithful recreation of the boardgame experience. In fact, I wished they have gone for even more of a classic feel, because the CG battles were more of a distraction, and doesn't feel right when you are mainly playing on a game board. The only disappointment was that I thought this would include the original European map, but it didn't. Really, I mean, does it kill them to have that thrown in with the game? Overall, I had a great fun with it, and it's so addictive that I've afraid to boot it up:)
