Uh, more gameplay, less box issues.

Great environments, terrific moves. Sweet graphics engine. Above average gameplay. That sums this up. A very straight-forward game that includes a collaboration of ALL of the Cast-Members as well! This does true justice to the Television show. As for the low rating here....none of them have actually 'played' the game. These reviews are wrong.

System Requirements

Stars are based on sales of box only, not the game itself (haven't had a chance to play it yet).

I saw the other reviews about the minimum system requirements so I made sure to check what graphics card we had (a GeForce 5200). Got the game yesterday and while everything seemed ok in the list, I then saw the big "Oh No". For me it was the processor. It needs a 2.0 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or better.... Not compatible with Intel Celeron processors... We have an Intel Celeron 2.4 Ghz. Luckily my roommate wants to buy another computer with a Pentium 4 anyways... So for everyone else concerned ... Here is a full list of the Minimum Requirements:

-Operating System: Win XP/ME/2000/98
-Processor: 2.0 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or better (not compatible with Intel Celeron Processors).
-Memory: 256 MB RAM
-Hard Disk Space: 1.2 GB available needed.
-CD-ROM Drive: 4X Speed
-Video: GeForce3 or better (Not compatible with GeForce4MX), ATI 8500 or better, Matrox Parhelia or better.
-DirectX: DirectX 8.1 Compatible sound card
-Peripherals: All Direct Input devices, keyboard and mouse.

Hope this helps with others before buying...

Game NOT compatible with GeForce MX440 card

I wish the facts had been provided on this site before purchasing the game as there was nothing I could do (other than buy a new graphics card for my computer which I did not want as I do not play too many computer games). I ended up buying a PS2 and love it. So, if your computer has a GeForce MX440 graphics card, it is either time to upgrade, or you will NOT be able to play this game. Such a disappointment as I had waited SO long for this game to be released in the PC format.

Requirements are false

The box says PC-DVD, when it's actually a CD-ROM game. What's worse, the requirements state that you need a GeForce3 or better, with GeForce4MX not supported. Where on scAmazon.con does it say that? How was I supposed to know this before buying. Now I have a game that I can't play without buying new harware. Jive Turkey. It does, however, say that the game is published by Atari, when it's actually published by Acclaim. Could the information about this game be any more misleading? The acclaim site doesn't even really acknowledge the PC release. Don't waste your money.

Not a bad game, requirement issues aside

The requirements listed on the box are indeed misleading, which kept me from buying the game for such a long time. The booklet list these as the actual minimum requirements:

-1 Ghz Pentium 3 or better
-256 MB RAM
-Geforce 3, ATI 8500 or better video card

the bad:
-the game controls are quite limited and you don't have as much control over the character, unlike great 3rd person games like Max Payne or Splinter Cell. I suppose that's what happens when this game is made more for the console than the PC (it has the annoying auto-aim feature, which you can't even turn off - and it's useless for a PC since the mouse has such superior control compared to a game controller).
-you can't save just anywhere in the game, except in designated areas
-the game is too short! I finished this game in a day-and-a-half
-no replayability value

the good:
-the game captures the spirit of the show, with impeccable voice acting from the cast
-great graphics - it's almost creepy how much the in-game characters look almost photorealistically like the actors
-it's great playing with Jennifer Garner! :-D

If another Alias game is made, I hope they use a well-oiled game engine - something like what was used for Unreal.

If you love Alias, I'd say this game is worth getting - at least as a souvenir, especially since Acclaim as folded. Hopefully another company picks up the license.

I bought this game today thinking it was going to be really great. I got it home and found the requirements along with it saying it was a dvd were false. There was too much false info on the box to make me even wonder if i should play the game. I wonder how many more boxes like the one i have got shipped like this in the U.S. The only problem i have is with the manufactures double requirements, I dont have a problem with the game.

anna espinosa glitch

in the club level, anna is bound to get stuck on a wall of a decent amount of time, then you can run ahead of her and get into the gate that she goes through, this had many upsides. 1. anna is left running pressed on the gate door, so you can stare at her and laugh 2. there is a door that you can go through there and it takes you directly into one of the main rooms of the club (so you skip about a quarter of the level and alot of fighting). 3. you finsih the level way faster.. there are downsides too. you dont get the coolant jet gun and the level is way harder to finish. you dont get some of the weapons you can get on the ground. like in the kitchen there is trhe ladle that for some wierd reason never breaks. good luck.
