So Realistic You Can't Stop

Right when you click on the screen that says "START", up pops a screen. Press "NEW" and suddenly you come to some short movie which is about two minutes. When I first saw this, I was amazed and in awe. Even my mom was in a daze. After the movie ends the real part comes. You end up naming yourself and all that stuff. Then you end up in front of a gas station. You go in it. You talk by pressing the "A" button to a man at the last row of seats. Then you go out of the station. Suddenly, the man will pop out as well. While Colosseum is fun... some what, and the Pokemon them selves look cute and cool (Or in wailord's case, properly HUGE) but the game all together is a sad try to get more people back into the World of Pokemon. I personaly break it down like this:

Fun level: 6/10
Let's face it, one of Pokemon's long time falws is there aren't many truly difficult battles. Once you get the second badge you just grow (which takes forever I'll admit)till your team is strong enough, and then fight. This time however, you have all the badges, and you start with a team that can both take a pounding and dish it out as well. The added challange of stealing Shadow Pokemon dose add a spark that helps, but not enough.

Gamer freindly: 9/10
The controls are easy, all the basic stuff is all there. But you now have to get to a computer to save. I have been just about to fight one of the few tough battles, and the last save spot is a 2 minute walk from where I am standing. The loss of save anywhere hurt how freindly the game is to what the Gamer sometimes has to deal with. However, a good gamer (which is just about any gamer really) can easilly adapt to this minor problem.

Story: 9.5/10
The idea of you being a reformed criminal is a nice way to go at it. Plus that fact that in the begining movie you steal something from your former team, and then blow up the hide out, adds a kind of ironic humor games rarely have. Then the whole bit about Shadow pokemon is a nice touch. The story line it self is nice really, but like all Pokemon games, it isn't perfect. For example, where are the cops I mean come on. You're still a criminal for all they know, and the 2 cops you DO meet just stand there and say "Hello. The city seam to have a lot of crime in it lately" Some police ofrce.

Game Length: 5/10
Ok, this is POKEMON we're talking about here right? The game that requires a week to really get started right? Not this time. With in a couple of weeks I had stolen Suicune, Entei, and was totaly unstoppable. In the time it normaly takes to get a third of the way through normaly, I had allready fought the last battle. Sorry guys, but this game is just WAY too short for Pokemon.

Graphics: 10/10
The attack and Pokemon graphics are one of the few things that save this game. The cute Pokemon are cuter, the cool are cooler and size is finnaly acurate. I was never able to imagine Wailord's size for example. I sure can now, WHAT A WHOPPER! True some graphics are better than others, but any game like this has that quality.

Overall: A disapointing 5/10
Let's face it, the makers of Pokemon were just too desperate to put a new game for the gamecube on the market. They should have just stuck with the traditional game, made this one longer, or made a Pokemon stadium that could connect with Ruby, Saphire, and all of their predicessers. True Pokemon fans will still enjoy this game, but if Nintendo want to keep Pokemon alive, they had better do ALOT better next time.

This game is very fun even for me because i stopped playin pokemon games for like 1 year but this was really fun. The graphics to me look really cool like when your pokemon evolve.

There are good points and bad points i shall tell u about. The bad part is the people dont actually talk just the transcript comes. Also its strange because u can only catch "specific pokemon" not the ones you want to catch. You can only snag specific pokemon. And if u miss it u cant try to catch it again and that means no ho-oh!!!!!!!!!!

Now i prefer you save before goin to any of the main pple like miror b or dakim because dakim has entei! For pokemon lovers this game is really cool.

Good parts are well its really fun and addictive oh ya i forgot to tell u about group battle. You need a gameboy advance or sp and that pak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is pretty sad. It looks cool on the ads and it is cool but its not wat i expected but its stil fun. There are only 48 pokemon which u can snag in the game. Even in like ruby or sapphire or any of those games there are like 150 pokemon. A pretty cool game.

The game is pretty fun and decent, but it's kinda short and lame. Plus you have to use a gameboy to play 2-4 players. That's really dumb. Pokemon Colesseum is alright, but rent it first before buying it. Personally you should get Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness.

sure these games are always fun but lets face it. The graphics aren't good at all and the battles although fun, get very very repetitive. the new pokeone is a great new addition and will still live up to the atmosphere of the pokemon stadium games.

This product is great,you can see your favorite POKeMON battle in 3-D. In case you're wondering why I said CIPHER instead of
SNAGEM,that team's your enemy;TEAM SNAGEM works for CIPHER.Ah,so you think that the wild-haired madman,NASCOUR,is the boss(you meet him outside the mayor's house)? Wrong again.

Storyline: Note:it starts from PYRITE TOWN,not OUTSKIRT STAND.

After meeting CAIL,head to PYRITE COLOSSEUM,talk to the trainer,he not only tells you that they give out SHADOW POKeMON there,CAIL has one.Talk to him and capture FURRET.After you capture it,you see a cut scene involving MIROR B.,MIROR B. PEONs FERMA AND REATH,and NASCOUR.Here's the conversation:

NASCOUR(he's in the T.V.):Is everything going according to plan,MIROR B.?
MIROR B.:Yes, we've been handing out SHADOW POKeMON to the winners of COLOSSEUM CHALLENGES.
I don't know what NASCOUR said.
MIROR B.:All this chatter is perking up my body and spirit. Ooo, I feel like dancing!
NASCOUR:Save your dancing until after our plan succeeds.I'm off.
TV then turns off.

Then,head for the windmill that powers the COLOSSEUM.The researcher walks out and collapses.Head in there and after the conversation,fetch the GEAR from the CONSTRUCTION LOT.DUKING will ask you to win a COLOSSEUM CHALLENGE.After that,snag the SHADOW YANMA,REMORAID,MANTINE,QWILFISH,MEDITITE,DUNSPARCE,and SWABLU.Then, restore your pokemon and save.

Now,this is where the fun begins.When you enter MIROR B.'s room,you're greeted by 4 dancing LUDICOLO and,of course,MIROR B. himself.To declare battle he says,"Let the music play!"

According to Gamespot, the release date is actually 3/9/2004. This will probably NOT be out for the holiday season.

I'm not much of a pokemon freak as i used 2 be, but i still luv the videogames!!! i gave this game 3 stars cuz i haven't seen the trailer yet but by reading these reviews, it sounds really kewl! It's definitely #1 on my list 4 buying.

I want to play it everyday! the 3d action is awesome, and i've heard you can trade it after you clear story mode in phenac city! A must buy!

I love Pokemon but Nintendo butchers it for Colloseum, making it almost impossible to beat unless you CHEAT, which the computer does a number of times. The Colloseum modes are way too hard to beat even with your strongest Pokemon raised and bred from level 5 to 100, you CANT BEAT THIS GAME.

The only saving grace is RPG Mode, but alas that is very short lived. I miss the days of the GBA games being the only way to battle pokemon, the way not every trainer gets a Latios, or a Rayquaza, or some other UBER Pokemon on his arsenal ... no, make that EVERYBODY in colloseum has at least ONE Uber Pokemon at their disposal.

This game stinks, it's a lot more worth it to save your money for other things than waste it on Colloseum, trust me I wasted about 50-60 dollars on a guide ... the game ... and the bonus disk. Which I could've put towards other things, please if you respect yourself, do not buy this.
