Loser Loser and Loser

I'll start with the bottom line. I just got back from Target where I demanded my money back for this game. Thank God they took care of me.

Parents! This is not a game for young children it's marked T for teenage. Keep that in mind. Also no adult could really like this either. So I am not sure who this was designed for.

In the 3rd level the Witches, skeletons, coffens, spiders, and demonic dark overtones was way too much for me. What the heck did that have to do with Shrek the movie?

Level 1 and 2 had promise but fell short in comparison with other games these days.

Belching and Farting are his weapons. I am not sure if this is just goofy fun or another way to teach our kids how to be pigs.

For the most part this game is simply stupid. The graphics are fair, sound is poor, and the game play is boring.

I think the Shrek movie theme had real promise but the programers and writers ruined it.

If the "tales of the crypt" section had not been there... it could have been good.

However,... this does not even compare with the other games such as halo, bloodwake, and dead or alive3. All which were design for Adults.

So far the xbox system has some great capabilities but is very limited in "kid appropriate" games.

Shrek could have filled the niche but in my book it just comes up a big LOSER.

Had great potential, but lacks anything worth playing

I was very excited for this game. I LOVED the movie. I usually enjoy (when they are good) these "types" of games (as in types, i've heard its along the lines of Mario 64, which I absolutely loved). Well, on release day, i got my XBOX home and tried it out. I was first amazed at the graphics. very smooth and crisp, and then i started actually playing the game, and in about 20 min, i took it out and have already sold it on ebay. the gameplay is AWFUL. it is HIGHLY redundant. walk across the level, pick up an egg, walk back across the level, drop it in a basket. repeat 5 times. that is how all the puzzles seem to be. it might be an ok game for a young kid (around 5?) but overall its a very boring and worthless game.

Two Thumbs Down for Shrek the game.

Hello Shrek Fans. I won't lie, the Shrek game was terrible. I loved the movie, I know every line, but the game hardly lived up to the movie's level of greatness. It had a boring and stupid concept and characters who didn't appear in the movie such as Merlin and Humpty Dumpty were in the game for some weird reason. It was the first game I received for the Xbox and I find myself playing my brother's games until a substitute for such an awful game can be found. The movie was fab, the game was drab. Two thumbs down for Shrek the game. Thanks for reading and I hope this helped you make a decision.

If your fortunate enough to own an X-box, I warn you NOT to throw away your money on a game like this. The graphics are quite nice, even stunning at times, but the gameplay is hideous! The tasks of the game simply involve puching eggs and farting on various items. On some levels you have to so awkwardly jump from platform to platform, its extreamly frusterating, and you'll swear you cheated your way up there. Also, none of the "bad guys" ever die. They simply lay stunned for a few seconds, then spring up for some more incessent attacks! Very annoying. Unfortunetly, it is also really boring. The game became a chore after the first 15 minuites of needless egg-punching. So, if your still determined to get the game, RENT IT, instead, and you'll see what I'm talking about. C'mon after fighting your way (and emptying your wallet) to get this beautifal X-box, use it for something worth playing!!

I don't know how a game manages to be dull and hard at the same time, but SHREK has done it. After playing for about fifteen minutes, I found myself longing...no, yearning to switch to my Zelda games on my Nintendo 64. As a matter of fact, after only a few hours of playing on the XBox, my husband and I decided to sell it and wait for a Nintendo GameCube instead. They've always had the best games--Zelda, Gauntlet, Turok--and I suspect they always will. So if you like dull, repetitive games that involve farting on your enemies and no brain power or dexterity skill, SHREK is the game for you!

This Game is Dangerous

There's been a lot of talk lately about how violent video games cause violent behavior, but acctually I think it's just the opposite. Shrek is almost ridiculously Non violent. You can punck and kick until you're green in the face, but everything gets back up. Normally, when you play blood bath games like Halo or Max Payne you come away from it feeling relaxed and calm, agressions out. However, play Shrek for a half hour you're going to want to take out a Glock and mow down a line of people at a post office. So parents don't buy your kids this game, buy them Max Payne or Blood wake, now that's therapy.
Oh yeah, and P.S., I don't kbnow what game the people who wrote the product description played, but Shrek only has 8 levels and there are no between level cut scenes.

I don't understand this game!!!!!

I was very excited to get this game because I really liked the movie. But after trying to get past the first level, I couldn't understand the rule book. I find this game very difficult for kids. Save your money!!!!!!

I'm glad that guy's kids loved the game. He's a rare case. Shame on Microsoft for allowing such a piece of garbage into it's launch lineup. The only purpose this game served is to show off the graphical power of the X-box.

I use this game to give visitors a quick overview of X-box graphics. Then I pop in Halo, Project Gotham, or Oddworld.

Way below par for true game lovers

I am glad that I rented this game before purchasing it because it was a huge letdown! The graphics were so bad it looks as if a class of Elementary school kids created it. Rated for teens is a joke...I don't know any teens that would be entertained by this for one second! Really bad choice for any avid x-box gamer!!
