This game represents a serious error in judgement on Electronic Arts part. I'm not sure if they rushed this to market or what, but this game was not even close to approaching the bottom end of my expectations. If you've played Goldeneye and other first person shooter games you will be incredibly disappointed in this offering.
The graphics are mediocre at best, the levels aren't even in the same ballpark as Halo and the game play is weak. It has nothing going for it but the name 007 which is why i rushed out to buy it. This is my first review on Amazon because I've never felt so compelled to help other people avoid what appears to be a mistake in the release of this game...
a disgrace.

This is the best 007 game since goldeneye. when i first played the world is not enough for nintendo 64 I thought that it [was bad] so I was not going to play another Bond game but when my friend brought it over it was the best Bond game I had ever played. If you are reading this review i suggest that you go to Toys R Us now and but this game.
Great Game for any System!

Agent Under Fire has good single player missions, and highly fun multiplayer.
If you like first-person shooters, this game is for you!

If you a big fan of Bond games you will absolutely enjoy playing AUF. If however, you are a casual fan and were enthralled by the gameplay in Halo and the like i'd rent this game before purchasing.
While the gameplay is solid, the graphics are not nearly as spectacular and the enemies not nearly as intelligent as Halo.
This game, as all other bond games before it, is very fragmented and is tough to get back into once you've been away from it for a while.
It is for all of the reasons above that I give this game 3 stars with a lean up to maybe 3.5. Good gaming....

Everyone loves the James Bond movie series, and most everyone has a secret fantasy of living the James Bond life. Nintendo 64 gave us the revolutionary Goldeneye game that changed video games forever. Then there was the World Is Not Enough game that wasn't that entertaining now. This time around, Electronic Arts wanted to do something good with their James Bond License, and they've succeeded.
James Bond: Agent Under Fire is a very entertaining game, allowing Bond to choose from an assortment of weapons such as Rocket Launchers and Machine guns, to Q gadgets like the Q-Claw and the Q-Laser, to vehicles such as a Tank, a BMW Z8, and a classic Aston Martin.
The games levels are varied among first person walking/shooting, 3rd person driving/racing/shooting, to rail shooters, and it's this blend of gameplay styles that keeps this game alive. Just when you might get bored of walking around and shooting terrorists, in the next level you get to drive an BMW Z8 off a ramp. The levels are creative, the graphics are great, and there are some cool cutscenes that add to the James Bond movie feel of the game.
If there was one downfall to the game, it would be the controls. They are a little hard to get used to at first, but after awhile they get easier.
This is a well rounded game and would make a great addition to any games library.

i really don't know why i enjoy this game so much. i love 1st person shooters. i really enjoyed getting "gold bond" & "platinum bond". i didn't think it was easy to get these at all. it really makes the game more enjoyable to have the power-ups. i have played this game many times and still continue to play it. i am really looking forward to "nightfire" this fall. from the video's i have seen, it looks to be even better. by the way, i think "goldeneye" is a classic & will always be, but the graphics in "agent under fire" are much better.
Wasn't the best, but it was pretty darn good!

This game wasn't that bad, it was pretty good. The single-player missions were good, and the multiplayer was great! The weapons and gadgets were really cool, plus they really helped you in a few missions. The weapons and gadgets were, of course, not as good as GoldenEye for the N64, though. The main reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the low replay value. Sure, the game was fun, but it is so easy to beat on all the difficulty levels, plus the good multiplayer doesn't really save this game. All of Electronic Arts' James Bond games have really low replay value (this game only has twelve extremely short missions), and that is one of the main reasons people prefer GoldenEye. Anyway, the car missions were pretty fun, plus the shooting was fun as well. It did get a bit repetitive. The music was also not too good for a Bond game. If you can overlook these problems, or you just really like 007/shooting games, you will like this game. But for die-hard gamers, shooting games for the XBOX that you will like include: Halo, Max Payne, and other games like that. Die-hard gamers will probably want to play long games that give tham a real challenge and make them think and use strategy. This game is mostly targeted at James Bond fans and I guess people that are new to shooting games might like this game, due to the easy difficulty level.
I'm not the best at gaming, but I'm pretty good. I gave this game a pretty high rating, though. That tells you that this game is pretty good, and experienced games may get a kick out of this game. The main reason people might buy/rent this game is that it's just 007. Well, I guess this game was pretty good. I probably don't recommend buying it, but it may be worth a rent. Try it out.
