My hand is still aching from traipsing all over the castle

This is the weakest of the Nancy Drew, Her Interactive Series. After playing Message in a Haunted Mansion I had high hopes for thrills and chills in The Royal Tower, however there was little excitement to be found in this game. The castle was far too spread out. Three full floors of dull hallways to walk through in order to search for clues; left my mouse hand feeling numb, and my detective instincts feeling bored. Hey, I know its a castle and has to be on the large side, but for crying out loud, jauntering about from one floor to another, up and down staircases, over and over just left me more frustrated than anything else. If you want to maximize your Nancy Drew fun, check out Message in a Haunted Mansion or Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake. Both of these titles have a better pace, and creepier feel.

I have played all the Nancy Drew games and this one is overall a good game, but not my favourite. The graphics are excellent, they keep getting better and better. The next game after this, Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake is even better, I cannot wait for the Haunted Carousel to come out!

Lets you in on a lot of French History!

I really liked this game because of the history. I really like Marie Antoinette, and that's why this is great. It's sort of 2 in one. You learn about French backgrounds, and you have fun. I learned alot from this game. Now I'm making good marks in history! This is a great game. Plus there is this huge diamond at the end. P.S. Don't trust Lisa, and don't tell her anything, especially, that you broke into the library. SHE'S THE CULPRIT!!!!

Not for computers with Vista

This is my twelve-year-old daughter's 2nd Nancy Drew cd, and she is loving it. Wonderful, fun, challenging, great for her English comprehension skills. One warning, however: it does not work on a new computer that runs on Vista! At least, it wouldn't load on our computers that run on Vista, and we had to get out the older computer . . .

This game was great. The theme was awesome the graphics were great. I have 5 nancy drew games. And I realized when I finished this game that it was short. I finished it in 2 long sittings. But I was amazed because usually nancy drew games are difficult for me and I would have to download the strategy guide. But with this game it was simple. When I was done I sat open mouth thinking thats it!?:( Usually it takes me a couple of weeks before I finish games. I thought that this game didnt have alot of puzzles also. But overall this game was good. I enjoyed it but In my mind I thought there has to be more. But you should still get this game. If you are a beginner this is a great game to play. HINT: BEFORE GOING IN THE WOODS LOOK IN THE CABINET OVER THE SINK AND GET A MAP. TRUST ME YOU DO NOT WANT TO GO OUT THERE WITHOUT MAP. ALSO THERE ARE ALOT OF TURNS. SO YOU SHOULD HAVE SOMEONE HELP YOU IF YOU ARE LITTLE. Hope I helped!

I'm a huge fan of this series of video games and recommend them to any teens who like action along with logic. This installment in the series, I found to be especially enjoyable. The setting and graphics were fabulous - who wouldn't love visiting such a gorgeous, archaic ski lodge? The game play itself is also captivating, involving questioning suspects, solving puzzles, completing complex missions, and heart-pounding break-ins. Even the most experienced game players may find themselves stumped, but kids as young as 11 can enjoy this game because of the ample help that is available when necessary. Parents will find this game such a great alternative to the traditional gun-'em-down video games; Nancy Drew incorporates great logistics and brain logic. Educational, exciting, this game has EVERYTHING! I find myself playing it over and over alone and with friends. A suggestion for anyone new to the series - if you find yourself completely stumped, try an online walkthrough (there are tons!) to get yourself over a stumbling point.

wtf.. I purchased this game hoping that it would be as fun Legend of the Crystal Skull... After playing that game I decided to play this one.. Only problem was I could not install the game. There are 2 computers and 3 laptops in my household.. I tried on EVERY SINGLE PC SO its not the computers I know its the game. I just wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on this. This review is for Danger on Deception Island.. I don't know why it says other games on other reviews. Anyway PLEASE don't waste your time or money on this game. It really sucked that I couldn't play it.

My sister and I have finished every Nancy Drew game we have except this one. First, I couldn't find the Red-Tailed hawk. It was very hard to get the dog statues in place, and it was hard to learn how to run the boat! The boat blew up the first time I tried it!!! I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT COULD DO THAT!!! I rate this game about 4 stars.

This game is like all the other mystery games. You need to find the clues and interigate people. I have always enjoyed the Nance Drew Series. This is not my favorite but it was ok. My daughters enjoyed this one more. The clues are easier for them to figure out.
