We've been playing this game for several months and if you liked the movie, you will like the game.

Great for kids

This is a great game for kids. Can be a little challenging to get the coordination down for steering, but the objective isn't too complicated and they have fun driving their favorite "Cars."

My 4-yr-old LOVES this game!

My 4-yr-old LOVES this game! He loves driving around Radiator Springs, and has really gotten into the races too. He loves jumping up high in the air with the remote to make his car fly (I've actually seen him put his car through the top of a tree!). He chooses a different paint job for each of the cars so it is like racing a new car each time.

I think he would play this for hours at a time if we let him. Great game for young kids who love the movie Cars and driving really fast.

simple fun

I bought this for my kids. Not an intense game, by any stretch of the imagination, but entertaining and interactive. More so, in my opinion, than most of the "standard" wii games out there. Lots of fun and easy to play!

Just a warning for grown-ups....

I tend to get (very) dizzy when my son (who is 6 yrs old) plays the racing games. Maybe bec of too much cruis'n and he plays the game on big screen hdtv. I always check my son if he gets dizzy and he tells me he doesn't. Maybe bec older people cannot endure high speed motion :-)

In my 4yr old's words, "Lame."

Thought the kids might like this. They did not. Pretty lame in most respects. Punctuates my convictions of the insidious nature in which mass merchandising in the entertainment industry churns out crap like this hoping to capitalize on branding. My kid also has a Cars lunchbox, underwear, remote car, toothbrush, the DVD, and of course - a soon to be Ebay'd Cars game for the Wii. I guess as long as suckers like me keep buying this for their kids, they'll keep making it. I need a tic tac...

Story line too long, too hard to control

I purchased this based on the overwhelming reviews that small children like it. Maybe it is my son's personality (and mine) but he is easily frustrated and then bored trying to play this game. It is difficult to win and the story line takes too long (we just want to get on with it and play). We don't have hours a day to master a game. The trouble seems that the controls are over-sensitive. The smallest correction sends the car spinning out of control.I just wanted something he could enjoy as I really like the aerobic element of the Wii and the other games we have. This game sits on the shelf.

Still is horiible....

Publishers like Activision, EA, and THQ are the worst. They use a considerable portion of their money to buy movie licenses, then spend more money on advertisement, and come up with games that are mediocore at best and in many ways a big let down of the predecessor movie.

Yet casual gamers are always known to be attracted to movie based games because they're something they can relate to and understand. The result is that underdeveloped movie based games sell well. The cycle continues with EA spending more and more money on buying licenses.

Cars is a typical movie based game you can find. Gameplay is by all means terrible. Yet it sold over a million copies worldwide because there's a large audience that enjoyed the movie and that makes all of them potential buyers of the game.

I am crossing my finger that those potential buyers of the movie based games soon realize that they're buying overhyped garbage and that there are way more funner games to play, because or else the game industry will continue to produce the same garbage over and over again for easy profit.

Lots of fun for all ages.

It's a pretty easy game to play, all the controls are intuitive and easy to learn. There isn't much of a story line, you win an event and it unlocks others that you can play. The arcade mode gets a little boring after a while (I can only take so many left turns) but the road races are pretty cool because it changes things up and makes you be a little more creative to get around the corners with out crashing or going off course. Overall it's a pretty good game.
