I bought this game for my Dad for Christmas. It is fun. I also played it with my brother. There are different levels so that the whole family can play. it can be very easy to very difficult. I am happy with my purchase. Your family will love this game too.

This is a fun game for having friends over and proving once and for all that your brain pwns theirs! :P Seriously, this game is quite challenging, and once you get a few freinds that know how to play it can be quite fun. There is also a little-known feature that allows you to send your scores to your friends via wiiconnect (assuming they also have BBA) so they can compete with your score.... I only wish there were online leader boards or even better, online play! Lots of fun, and I think I am actually getting smarter. Better play some Wario-ware to dumb myself down again...

Really fun, challenging game for the family.

My family is very competitive and so this game is great cause we can play each other and also play on our own to beat previous records. Of course my husband hates it cause I have beat him at everything, but what can I say, It is a test of marriage also. Just kidding. great game, go get it. Also would be great for someone on the verge of Altzheimers.

Not worth it for adults

Huge downfall to the game is its lack of minigames. 15-20 for this game, versus over 60 when mario party 2 came out. Really disappointing

My GF and I, both mid 20's, thought the brain age series was worth a try. I had played a ds version in a store and liked it. This game is no better than the ds version. We also bought it to be used as a bonding experience.

This game made bonding worse. It relies more on the speed of your clicking icons/answers than it does using your brain. I dominated her because of my experience with the wiimote versus her first experience with a console system. Everytime I beat her in a game that measures your intelligence made me feel more guilty when i won because it seemed to lower her self esteem with each win. Not to mention the 2 player games require you to pass the controller around instead of using your own.

rent this and you prolly wont buy it.

As an adult player, I found BIG BRAIN ACADEMY to be fun and I do return to play it - to get a better grade. For me, however, it does not have the variety I would have hoped for. It also has way too much filler listening to a cartoon professor who repeats himself. It does require speed of response and accuracy to score highly and the activities and general advise given by the professor are educationally accurate and sound.

back to school!

Summer's ending, kids long ago gave up on doing workbooks & writing in their journals. What to do to get their brains in gear before schools starts up? I ask myself.
Enter Brain Academy. Right now there are 4 kids aged 6-9 whooping it up on my Wii, doing some simple math & visual tasks - 2 of them have "bigger brains" than me, lol!
Fun, good for a rainy day especially, and IMO much better use of time than many other "games" out there.

This game was not very fun, it was kinda boring and too much reading. If you want a fun game that is similar to Movie Scene It, get Smarty Pants!

At approximately 3:00 p.m. today me and my finance's nine year son hit the game store. He's a great kid, but frequently grows bored with the games when left to play alone. Granted there have been some exceptions, such as; Mario Super Galaxy, but these are few and far between. We purchased four games and rented two more. The two games we rented were ATV vs. ??? and Playground. Three of the games we purchased were Big Brain Academy, Myth Makers Orbs of Doom, and MLB Power Pros. The fourth game was for me; And Then There Were None.

He wanted try all of the games today (counter productive) and played ATV vs ??? (he seemed to only think so so of the game) and MLB Power Pros (I think this one may have some staying power). Then he put in Big Brain Academy and several hours later I had to force him to go to bed. This was a hit with him, my finance, and myself. I think the game might grow old eventually (hence not a perfect rating), but it will easily be worth the $40 used purchase price.

Great game for the whole family to enjoy together and individually.
