this game is perfect if u know the underground world of street racing, its got lots of cars, lots of parts and lots of fun, its a bit hard to get into at the start but eventually u get completely sucked into it, i wouldn't reccommend this to people who arent crazy about cars, its definately a car nuts game

This game is a worthy purchase...lots of rivals to race and cars to customize. Graphics are descent as well as the in-game music. If you enjoyed Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3, then you will enjoy this one as well.

This game has excellent gameplay and graphics. There are over 100 different cars to choose from and 300 different opponents to race with. This game also lets you customize your cars to get the most out of them. This game is next to Gran Turismo 3, but if you are a fan of imports and street racing, this game is for you.

This game is one of the best racing games that you can get. I never got tired of it yet. The graphics were da bomb. I think its better than Gran Tourismo 3 because I got tired of playing the second one, and its basicly the same.

This is a cool game. If you want street racing(and you better watch "The Fast and the Furious" movie), this is the game that you want(without the cops). This is just plainly fun!!!

I've played lots and lots of racing games. This one blew my mind the moment i started quest mode. By the way the cars aren't completely un-named. Most of a car's "type" is actually its manufacturer model number. Street racers in japan refer to cars by model number, thus one would never be looking for a 92 RX-7, but an FD-3S.

If the ps2 version improves on the Dreamcast version then it has to be good. Although the Dreamcast version only had one track the great graphics and fast framerate made up for it. And being able to put differen't kits on your car was another plus. Should be nice to play while waiting for gt3.

Forget Gran Turismo

This is the game right here. I too was waiting for GT to come out. I lack that sort of paitence so I bought this hoping to keep me occupied until that time.

I have found out that this is so much better than GT. This game has the most awesome graphics. It is so addictive. I often stay up all night playing this game!!!

I recommend this to anyone.

Ok...The graphics are very good and compete very well with gt3, although some people might like the whole gt style...i am more into the txrz style (import cars, street racing, etc.)...i have not yet played gt3 the final version but i played the demo and i couldnt control the car at all no matter what i did...so until i play it im saying that this game is better then gt3, and i would just like to say that if sony keeps rushing games (unlike this one) then i might quit buying them unless i hear good things about them...i bought recently a baseball game without multi-tap play and it had no home run derby or anything...what im trying to say is when sony rushes the games they come out with less options but this game has probably the most options for any game ive played on the ps2 so far...and i hear good things about gt3 too but i just love this game right here...i recommend it most definately

well, i'll break it down is two parts for you guys.
PROS.YOU GET TO BUY,RACE,SELL,TWEK,& MAKE YOUER CAR THE BEST ON THE TOKYO HIGHWAYS.ADJUSTABLE CONTROLS HELPS YOU SET YOURE OWN CUSTOM STEARING,REPLAY VALUE:YOU'L PLAY IT EVERY NOW & THEN,BUT IT'S STILL A COOL GAME.

CONS.NOT THE BEST GAME IN THE WORLD GRAFICLY,BUT HEY IT'S WHOLE LOT BETTER THAN THE DREAMCAST VERSION.

ALL IN ALL IT'S NOT BAD FOR THE AMOUNT THATS WHY I'M GIVIG IT FIVE STARS,BECAUSE FOR THAT PRICE DONT EXPECT TO SEE GRAND TARISUMO OR SOMETHING!
