DOES NOT COME WITH A GUNCON

This is the most fun game if you do have the Guncon. However, the Guncon does not come with this, so it sucks. If you want to buy it here I suggest either borrowing a Guncon from one of your friends or buying one (...)

I didn't know there was a gun controller for the PS2 until I started searching around and found the GunCon2 packaged with this game. I couldn't imagine playing this without the gun controller, so you really should find the bundled package. Unfortunately, the unique controller is the only thing interesting about the game. It is fun, but by the time I was just getting into the game, it was over! There are only three levels, and some uninteresting standalone extra games. Hopefully the sequel will contain more gameplay.
The GunCon2 design leaves a bit to be desired. I hold the gun with two hands and found my left hand constantly bumping the pause button during gameplay. Also the A and B buttons are up out of the way, not convenient for a standard shooting hold. The actual control of the gun works great though, and I hope to find more games that utilize the controller.

THE SEQUEL TO ONE OF THE GREATEST GAMES EVER MADE! This game comes equipped with a Guncon 2 (The most advanced light gun controller available), even backwards compatible with the Guncon. Featuring the action of a John Woo film and the music straight out of a Jerry Bruckheimer movie comes Time Crisis 2. You feel like your watching a DVD movie when you boot this game up and navigate your way through all the menus and extra features this game has. This game is bad to the bone. Not only is this one of the greatest games ever, but it is one of the best two-player co-op games ever. I quote "Two-player light-gun action has never been this fast and furious." The sheer amount of fun that is this game is just about unmatched in every way by every other two-player action game out there. The Replay value on this game is super high. It has lots of extra and special features that will keep you busy for a while. There's a one-player double-gun mode on this game that is just the coolest, armed with two guns you play through the story mode like Chow Yun-Fat taking out guys in rapid fire. This still is the closest playing game to a John Woo movie ever! The graphics are down right impressive, exceeding the arcades in any way you can name. The stages are about the most innovative you will ever see in a game. Example in stage 1 area 3 you and your partner are on two seperate speed boats in a canal chasing down the leader's right hand man in his cruiser, while fighting of henchmen on speed boats just like yours(think the end of John Woo's Face-Off on steroids). All while a cool and mellow rock tune feels your ears. This is hands down the coolest stage or level I have ever played in a video game. The body count in this game is well over 200 if anyone must know. Besides everything else shinning in this game guess what, the music also shines. Look I don't know what more I can say about this game besides just buy it. ... I consider it to be one of the top 5 games of all time, but with the gun! If you enjoyed this title I recommend Time Crisis & Time Crisis Project Titan for Playstation. I congratulate Namco for doing such a fine job on this.

Variety is the key aspect is to why I love this game besides the fact that I was hooked on the arcade as well. The double gun mode makes this game twice as fun as the arcade and it has a whole bunch of extra games you could play by yourself or in 2 player mode. The only downfall that in 2 player arcade mode the split screen is a bit small for my taste. Other than that would recommend this game to any gamer.

time crisis2 is an awesome, action-packed game, with awesome graphics, and realistic movements. I fell in love with the game, as soon as i bought it, but when i took it home to play, i finished it in less than an hour. i am very dissapointed with the short story-line, game play they provide.

It is very unfortunate that there are so few shooters out there on the modern video game platforms. Things have progressed a lot from the days of Duck Hunt, but I am pleased with the results.

Time Crisis 2 is a great game. It is a lot like being in an interactive cop movie, and you get to shoot the bad guys. The graphics are pretty good, although not the top PS2 graphics by any means. The AI is weak, but it doesn't matter because you don't have time to try and outthink the enemies. It's a great game to just pop in the console and play for a while if you don't want to have to think.

The Guncon 2 itself is sort of bleah to me. As someone who likes using guns in real life, I prefer something a little heavier than the Guncon 2 gives me. I end up overcompensating for the weight because I am used to real guns. So the Guncon looks a lot like that rope gun Batman used in the Michael Keaton version of the Batman movie, I don't care because it is functional. I may end up buying another light gun soon, so I can play the game with a gun in each hand.

I'll shut up now, and just tell you to go get the game. Unless you are expecting a deep, thoughtful, Final Fantasy type experience, you will not be dissapointed.

Game does not come with a guncon2...The description does not say it does or does not. Every gaming store I went to does not sell it seperately. They do have a compatible gun but the lowest price is [price]. (...) I do hear it's a good game but i guess i'll find out another time

Fun Shoot-Em Up

Guncon2 works well, but with my big-screen, I have a hard time hitting guys in corners (unresponsive). I'm not sure if it is the angle I'm sitting at or what. I have to aim dead on and can't angle up into the corners.

Fun game though. You don't have to think much and it is great for that. Will enjoy it for many months.

I have to admit i never played this in the arcade but boy I didnt know what I was missing!. This is an adrenalin junky's game. Fast gameplay, great sounds and action make you feel like your in the thick of it. I've heard many people compliain that it's too short. I think the best way to get the most enjoyment out of this game is to do what I did and set the options for HARD with 1 life only right from the start. Or, set it on VERY HARD and give yourself only 2 lives. Believe me this makes the game ALOT more fun and challenging! It took quite a while to beat it at these setting. It also helps if you have a nice big screen TV and pumped up sound system! My only gripe would be the lack of vibration in the Guncon2, which I think would make a huge difference in the experience. Also I dont like the fact that the DUCK and RELOAD buttons are used together. I would have liked the option to duck and reload seperatley. (Maybe use the C button on the bottom of the gun to reload and the down button on the directional pad to duck). Because of these resons, and the fact that the gameplay is a little short, I'll have to give it 4 stars. Other then that, this game is a must own. Cant wait for Time Crisis 3 this December!

One hell of a cool shooting game!

This is absolutely among the best games I've ever played in my life. It's about you as a hero with all sorts of firearms(hanguns, machine guns, grenades and shotguns) who is trying to protect the city from gangsters/criminals as well as save a young woman they have taken as hostage. Here are the pros and cons of this piece of gold art. Oh, and I didn't play this game itself, but the arcade version that is just as fun.

Pros

Each weapon, be it gun or explosive, works wonderful and the impacts are perfect

You can not only get foes down on the ground, but also blow them out of the sky

When you defeat a real big obstacle(such as boat or tank)you get a superb explosion

You can hide till the right moment and then get the bad guys when they're off guard

The graphics are slick & cool looking & you can enter all kinds of dangerous places

Whenever you hit an enemy, he keels over & goes "Braa!" before disappearing

Your gun reacts quite fast to your commands, which means you can shoot a team

You can hear taunts from your enemies, which makes it all the more fun to off them

Cons

The game has long levels with areas, making it more challenging than most games

Overall, I give this game a perfect 10 out of 10 and if you like action games or any sort of cool thing with amazing backround, music and/or sound, this is your game.
