Spyro: A hero's Tail is the best game I have EVER played! I already beat the game..5 days, in 5 days, I beat this. This game is very fun. But, I tell you this, the game is quite confusing at times. Remember the, "I now have a few tips" review? I sent that. You better be thinking me, 'cause that sorta helped me out myself. If this is a help, I'll list the bosses you fight in order: Gnasty Gnorc, Ineptune, Red, And finally, Mecha-Red. Mecha-Red is extremely fun to fight, however, a little hard as well, but very fun. Okay, I'm done, comment as you please
A little less.......cheesy

This game is way better than the other game, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, that game was a bit too cheesy, the only thing I dislike about Spyro: A hero's Tail is the very ultra cheesy character at the dragon nursery *shudder of fear* Im still on level one and thats about the only cheesy thing so far. I recomend this game for ages 6-12.
A good game

Me and my brothers really liked it. It has good graphics. And it has lots of things to do. And places to go. It is real fun and doesn't get boring easily.
Not what I'm used to...

Ok, first off the controls are different n take a lil getting used to and I don't understand the reasoning behind switching the buttons for charging and flaming. But I got used to em fairly quick. I was a little hesitant to buy this Spyro game after wasting $55 on Enter the Dragonfly (a major disappointment) but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. This Spryo game is a definite improvement over the previous game. I was a little disappointed that each realm only had one or two seperate worlds and I'm not a big fan of the fact that Sgt. Byrd now does the speedways as opposed to Spyro and one character I loved from other games is Sheila... where is she?! I do like Blink though but couldn't they have added him w/out bootin Sheila? Also, although he makes an appearance I was a lil disappointed that Bentley had no minigames. Overall, this game did not disappoint. The graphics are really tight and the tasks are challenging (esp the speedways which in previous games were fairly easy.. now they are more difficult to complete.) I gotta give this game an B+
be careful

I'm kind of late on this review, but some people are late on buying it (or reading these reviews to see if it's worth it). It's not. Not really. I've been a major fan of Spyro since I got Spyro:Year of the Dragon for X-mas when I was, like, eight years old. Six years of Spyro fandom and I think I can safely say Spyro: A Hero's Tale was horribly lacking.
I've played the first three (the BEST Spyro's ever), a little of the Season of Fire and Season of Ice on GBA, and Enter the Dragonfly and this game is really different. But if you are that much of a fan, or you just don't care, you can get over it.
Moneybags is not the greedy, yet helpful, big bear-thing we all know and love. He has an odd, creepy accent and a new outfit he needs to burn. He doesn't do useful services for gems, like teaching you how to do cool moves or moving off a path he was conveniently (for him) blocking.
The circle button isn't fire, and the square button isn't charge. I got smacked around early in the game because I kept forgetting.
There aren't really any secret areas. You can't glide off a cliff, fly around a corner, and mysteriously land in gem city. There are no suspicious looking cracks in the wall, or anything like that.
The whole game is all just a little too...lame. Personally, I depsise that stupid pink dragon who loves Spyro. The scenery is a bit too perky, and some of the characters are a bit too happy-go-lucky. No one seems too panicked that a big evil dragon is bent on revenge. The music is different, but not neccessarily in a bad way, and the whole layout of the worlds has changed.
It's okay, if you don't mind changes like that. I do kind of like the whole double jump thing, though...Beware Spyro and Hunter's change of personality, and Sparx, too.

The game is a little different and a little more confusing. I am a Spyro fan so I still think it is a must have.

OMG I got this for christmas and here I am thinking is this going to be "like a needle in a haystack game" or a "arm wrenching game." Well it turned out to be awesome. Blink the mole was some cool. Elder Thomas could of been better though. He acted like a slow ass. (...)"Oh Spyro darling" and all that wasn't needed. Spyro though could of been better. They kinda made it look like he was a dumb ass. "The door I just openned behind you". MoneyBags was awesome. Not so stingy. Hunter; I think I'm in love with both Hunter and Spyro, was so well acted you could of thought wow. Besides that little door part.
If I could I'd give 10 stars for both fun and rating.
