good game, but...

I rented this one as I am big fan of Spongebob and his friends. The game didn't seem to have a glitch described in many other reviews, so hopefully producers were able to fix it. Still, downloading time takes forever, but so do many other great games.
I loved voice talents (of course, that was main reason I got the game, my son adores THE song), but gameplay seemed a bit too dificult for those of us that don't like jumping, and boy does this game requires a lot of it! Other than that being able to explore Bikini Bottom brings the simple joy.
Graphics: could be better, SBSP just barely resembles the original character, but works fine for kids.
Sound: good for the entertainment intended.
Gameplay: brace yourself for tidious jumps and leaps; also four different suits bring even more excitement.

The (bikini) bottom line: rent it first and buy only if you can't go another day without hearing "Who lives in the pineapple under the sea?!" :))

I like the show. But the game is boring because all you do is walk around Bikini Bottom looking for gold coins.

this is a great game for everyone. i especially like the duck jump, because we cant do a double jump, we bend our knees then jump.there was a glitch at first but now its gone. But when i got to chum world, i couldnt find the bus ticket to goo lagoon. my only guess is to find more of the dutchmans treasures.i keep renting it, and when i get to goo lagoon ill buy it because then finding treasures will be all i have to do.

The game starts out good. But then the game resetes the graphics get badder and badder. The Game frezezes every time you go to a new screen. Don't buy someone the game for cristmas!

Don't get me wrong, this game is challenging, but it's boring. The places you play in are just the normal places you see in the TV show. One thing that's new is that you don't always battle a flying Dutchman in the TV show, but other than that I don't really like it.

apparrently technology has gotten better. dont waste your money on this game. buy the second one. i have so much fun playing the second one and i dont bother with this one anymore. the gaphics are pitiful as well as how different the levels are from one another. nice try nick, but atleast you improved, alot!!! once again...buy the second one...a much better investment

This game is OK, but hard (for me). I haven't been able to win the belly flop picture level. I think it will be easier if I don't grab the spongebob letters and just get checks on the "to do" list. Before that, the game is easy for me and I especially like the switching tent.All in all, this is an O.K. game but a little hard.

You play as SpongeBob. He releases the Flying Dutchman from a bottle. The dutchman says that whoever disturbs his rest has to be on his crew. SpongeBob accidentally passes the buck to Gary. The Flying Dutchman will every so often take away one of SpongeBob's friends- first Gary, then Mr. Krabs, then Squidward, then Patrick, then Sandy. The only way to stop him is to collect all 7 of his treasures by exploring Bikini Bottom, Downtown, Tree Dome, Jellyfish Fields, Chum World, Goo Lagoon and Dutchman's Graveyard. Once you have all 7 treasures you can rescue your friends and then face the Flying Dutchman in the Final Showdown.

Pretty fun (yet fairly easy) game. I have beaten it several times and have never encountered this glitch everyone is talking about.

Great game but there are two obvious tasks, there's beating Squidward to the KK. He walks like 2 mph.

And when you find the clown in JF, you have to defeat him to get the ticket to CW all you got to do is hit him once. Simple
