MAJOR Disappointment for PS2

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 16 / 23

Move your left and right analog sticks back and forth as fast as you can. THERE - you've just enjoyed all you're going to enjoy of Raving Rabbids on PS2.

This game stinks. All it is is a bunch of mini-games, there is no good story, there are no lands to visit, no choices to make. Not to mention, the graphics leave much to be desired. I've played every Rayman game and, up until playing Ravving Rabids, I have loved every single one. I was eagerly awaiting the release of this game. Wow, what a disappointment it is!

It is obvious that this game is really meant for the new Wii system. However, given that Ubisoft released it for other platforms, I figured they would modify the game so it would at least be fun on other platforms. Probably the only mod that Ubisoft made for PS2 was to add instruction screens that tell you which way to wiggle your sticks. If I needed practice in finger dexterity I would have taken up piano.

I think the raving rabbids must have taken over Ubisoft because they are out of their heads for coming up with this dumb game.

So Rayman purists - steer clear! And definitely steer clear of trying this game on a PS2.

Funny!

I got this game for my 9 year old boy and his PS2.... and he loves it. It's alot different than most of the other Rayman games, but that's not a bad thing. I'd say it's an 8 out of 10 for younger players, but not as much for older kids. It's certainly age appropriate for anyone. The most violence is shooting evil bunnies with plungers. That's about it. I'd recommend it for most kids under 13.

Bunny Bashing Fun For Everyone

Rayman Raving Rabbids may not be the best game released for the PS2, but it has to be one of the funniest and most entertaining entries. The demented mini-games that make up the game remind me of the best of the original looney tunes (certainly more so than the soulless "looney tunes" that are currently churned out). Most of the games are easy enough for kids, but the game is entertaining enough for older gamers. The story mode can be zipped through fairly quickly, but there's a score mode which allows players to unlock extras, including (apparently) other challenges. PETA members may object to the bashing of bunnies - even evil bunnies - but most other gamers will love this release.

Very Enjoyable

I find it strange that this game got all bad reviews so far. I for one love it, especially the dancing and stealth parts. It's simple fun; the other Rayman games suck so far, except Rayman Rush, so this was like a breath of fresh air for me.

Rayman Raving Rabbids- a major bummer

I was very disappointed in the game. I loved the first three and have been waiting for what seemed like forever for the fourth one to come out. Playing this game has been a major letdown.

I really liked the exploratory nature of the first three. They were so imaginative. This game is nothing more than a glorified arcade with no exploration at all!!! Everything I loved about the first three games is missing in this one. If you are a Rayman fan, avoid this one. It is not even close to being as good as the other three.

What a shame

Raving Rabbids is further proof of what seems to be a new trend - the disappearance of the linear style "adventure" play games. RR is geared toward the pre-school set and if you are looking for anything more difficult or challenging....pass it up. I picked up and played the entire game in an afternoon. Ubisoft should be highly ashamed of the pricetag. It is not commensurate with the lack of time and effort it obviously took to produce this game. Here's hoping they go back to the drawing board and make an attempt to develop something worthy of the Rayman name.

I love Raving Rabbids!!

I bought this game mainly because the commercials seemed like this would be entertaining. It is everything that I hoped it would be! Some of the other comments that have been made about this game are true... if you are a fan of the original Rayman (which I'm not, I think the original Rayman is stupid personally) you probably wouldn't like this game. It is pretty much a series of mini games without a main story... but the games are hilarious. My favorite games so far are the ones that involve shoot-em-up matches with the rabbids. I also liked the dancing games. It's a bit more challenging than it appears so don't let the "Rayman Purists" influence you as far as the difficulty level. There are a lot of things (such as running) in the PS2 game that can be done better with the Wii but if you try hard enough you can do it just as well with a normal controller. Overall I think I made a very good buy.

How do you spell cool? Rayman Raving Rabbids!!!

This game is very entertaining and funny. It's funny because the bunnies are just plain DUMB:) For example, one mini game is you have to poke a bunnies brain. It's like a memory game. The game itself isnt like the others. The other games are adventure. This is a mini-game game. It's very fun though. Also there are costumes. There are 4 minigames in a session. To move on, you need to beat 3. Beat all of them, and you get a music track or an outfit. This game is very funny. Don't listen to those bad reviews. This game rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Fun but repetitive

This game is a LOT of fun. The first time my girlfriend and I played it we were ROLLING on the floor! But after a while, some of the games get repetitive and they're just a harder version of an earlier game you played.

I bought this for the Wii & my g-friend has it on the PS2 and there are some subtle differences. Shooting the plungers at the Rabbid Rabbits & drawing games are easier on the Wii. The jump rope and sling the cow are easier on the PS2. Also, the copy of the Wii has some pixelated graphics in some of the games. I thought it was just my copy so I exchanged it for a different copy. The second copy had the SAME pixelation in the same areas which leads me to believe the developers didn't 'polish' the game for the Wii or maybe there was just a bad batch of burnings.

Really Great game
