Worst car game ive ever played...

i trusted the words of these reviews here ... and i was totally disappointed. for one thing the cars u chase dont get damaged by anything but when you hit them and most of the time it just hurts your car more than the bad guy's. once i tried ramming him head on and it took out half my life and less than 10% of his. and the cars are slow and boring. dont buy it. if u think its gonna be good rent it first, because once u rent it you wont want it.. guarenteed.

I bought this game for like $ because i read these reviews on amazon so i thought it would be alright since alot of people liked it. When i played it... i regreted even thinking of buying it. It has horrible controls, stupid missions, and the graphics are so bad, the pics cant give you any idea how bad the graphics are. I returned this game and got my money back because it was so bad after playing less then 1 hour.

I don't know how anyone can rate this over 3. I like it because I am a cop, but the handling bites and the acceleration can be better. There are too many bad guys on the streets too. You should be able to just drive around for a while and not chase anyone. I'm trying not to knock the game, but they could have given it better graphics too.

More, please, Sir?

I really did like this game and it was alot of fun. However I was disappointed in the mere 20 missions they give you. The missions range from the simply cheezy beginners stuff to the nearly impossible, "Tank Rush". A friend and I had this game solved in less than a week. Don't get me wrong! It was fun and action packed, but I think for the price there should have been more missions. That's the only reason I gave it 3 stars. On action, I do give it 5 stars. My mistake: buying it brand spankin new. My advice is to wait awhile til the price goes down then it will be truly worth it. - but that's just me...

The prospect of chasing drunk drivers, car thieves and drug smugglers like the guys on television intrigued me,but sadly,this game has been watered down into a long winded crash and bash fest.Apprehenking suspects boils down to ramming and shooting their car more than they do to you.Smashing cars to bits satisfies the hillbilly in all of us,but there's no technique to stopping the vehicle you're chasing.If the developers watched the show this game is based on, they could have easily lifted a few cool things out of it.For example,i once saw an episode that showed the technique that officers use to make a car stop by hitting it with their own.None of that stuff made it into the game.You can use firearms,but you can't aim to shoot out tires.Instead you hit the suspect's car and lower its energy bar.There are a few bright spots,such as a renegade tank chase and a two player co op mode,but those can't hide the fact that this game isn't anything more than a drab destruction derby with added sirens and donuts.

well let me start off by saying the game looked alot better advertised than it actually is. the graphics could better and so could the game play, but doing the missions and shooting thecars is pretty fun! once u beet all the levels u unlock all the guns, and shooting the rocket launcher while goin 100mph is prett damn cool, lol over all i rate the game a 3, it is okay

Driver 1:You Are The Wheelman was an excellent game,its sequal Driver 2 was even better.The World Scariest Police Chases-WSPC is the best "DRIVER" Clone on PlayStation 1-The Italian Job was a good game,Crazy Taxi was a good game(SDC,Arcade,PS2,GC) as well.WSPC is alot mor like Driver except in this game your the chaser not the fugitive,The Italian Job is a good clone to "Driver 1/2" as you are a fugitive who skips from the Cops but it was a very funky driving game not realistc.Crazy Taxi is like Driver in terms of free driving but having to pick up customers from around town,but thats where the similarity ends in CT you have no realistic damage effects,No Damage o`metre,and no Cops to stop the mad driving.CT is more of a fun driver than a crime/anti-crime driver.These games are NOT in anyway racing games they are often catoragized in the racing genre.If Driver/WSPC,TIJ and CT were close to a racing/pro driving games i would say BurnOut,Need For Speed,MidNight Club and maby StuntMan as they are street racers,and the streets are what you play on in Driver etc.

Driver has new competition nowadays they are the Grand Theft Auto games! as Driver has moved from driving to drivin` and killin` like GTA.My best three games on PS1 are Driver 2,Metal Gear Solid 1 and Need For Speed III.
This is pretty old news and not many ppl play PS1,N64 and DreamCast no more we are actally nearly playing PS3,REV And XBox 360.my fave PS1,N64 and DC games in likin` order:

WSPC, is a change to the games that are around at the moment, so if you want something different then this is the game for you. Throughout the game you will have acess to 13 different vehicels, which you will get to use on 20 different miaaions. Overall this game is good, its not too easy and poses a bit of a challenge, but one of the best features is the two player co-operative mode.(it means you dont have to be so competitive)
