Driver 1:You Are The Wheelman was an excellent game,its sequal Driver 2 was even better.The World Scariest Police Chases-WSPC is the best "DRIVER" Clone on PlayStation 1-The Italian Job was a good game,Crazy Taxi was a good game(SDC,Arcade,PS2,GC) as well.WSPC is alot mor like Driver except in this game your the chaser not the fugitive,The Italian Job is a good clone to "Driver 1/2" as you are a fugitive who skips from the Cops but it was a very funky driving game not realistc.Crazy Taxi is like Driver in terms of free driving but having to pick up customers from around town,but thats where the similarity ends in CT you have no realistic damage effects,No Damage o`metre,and no Cops to stop the mad driving.CT is more of a fun driver than a crime/anti-crime driver.These games are NOT in anyway racing games they are often catoragized in the racing genre.If Driver/WSPC,TIJ and CT were close to a racing/pro driving games i would say BurnOut,Need For Speed,MidNight Club and maby StuntMan as they are street racers,and the streets are what you play on in Driver etc.

Driver has new competition nowadays they are the Grand Theft Auto games! as Driver has moved from driving to drivin` and killin` like GTA.My best three games on PS1 are Driver 2,Metal Gear Solid 1 and Need For Speed III.
This is pretty old news and not many ppl play PS1,N64 and DreamCast no more we are actally nearly playing PS3,REV And XBox 360.my fave PS1,N64 and DC games in likin` order:

WORLDS SCARIEST POLICE CHASES
THE ITALIAN JOB
CRAZY TAXI

This game is pretty good overall. Even though the graphics are terrible it is still a fun game to play over and over again. I would buy this game.

I rented this game once and immediatley fell in love with it only had it for a week but got through 13 missions [easy huh] but the 2 player mode with my brother and free patrol mode were awesome I'm finally getting the game for my birthday and can't wait BUY BUY BUY it the best game for the playstation

I've read all the reviews to this game, and everyone says that the garphics suck. Come on, graphics arnt everything. besides, its for the PS, and ALL the games look that way. But i liked this game because its a game you can drive police cars, a tank, explore a town and chase down cars. there are missions u can go one, training or you can just patrol around freely. The game also lets you use hand guns, shot guns, machine guns and even a rocket launcher to nock out fleeing cars. this game isnt as bad as people say and is worth giveing a shot.

This game is awesome. With 20 missons, big weapons,lots of vehicles and crooks, and scary driving you should buy it.

Being able to drive a squad car down pedestrien filled streets and shoot really cool weopons at the same time, what more could you wont in a police game. Most of the time the game is easy to play, except for the single missions. Were the missions have time limits and if you go over the limit you fail the mission.
Except for this, the game is great and has great replay valu.

I bought this game for like $ because i read these reviews on amazon so i thought it would be alright since alot of people liked it. When i played it... i regreted even thinking of buying it. It has horrible controls, stupid missions, and the graphics are so bad, the pics cant give you any idea how bad the graphics are. I returned this game and got my money back because it was so bad after playing less then 1 hour.
