GREAT FUN !!! I bought this for my four-year old and he can't stop playing it. I have to force him to put down the controller at bedtime. He loves being able to shoot buzz's laser weapon. He started off needed help, he didn't really understand the concept of the game. Which is perfectly natural, since he's never played on the playstation before. But after some coaching from his daddy and myself, he's become quite a player. He's jumping around and climbing ropes and all sorts of obstacles. He knows where everything is and knows how to get there on his own. He LOVES it! I've tried playing, although I'm not much of a game player, and I love it too!! Great game, highly recommend.

I only got this game last week after seeing the film, but I have played on it lots of times I like the graphics and it has bits of the film in it as well. It is funny, not too dificult and I have been in all the levels, my older brother thinks its a good game too. I recomend it to all Toy Story fans.

Toy Story 2 is one of the finest if not the finest animated movie ever to come out of Hollywood. So inevidably, there will be a movie tie in game. After the amazingly bad A Bugs life, Disney interactive has spent a lot of time fine tunning this and making up for past mistakes. Which is a good thing, because Toy Story 2 is a fantastic Game. Toy Story 2 for the playstation is a great first action adventure title for newbie commers to the playstatin world. The graphics are excellent, wih lots of color and clarity (They are somewhat choppy but it dosent matter). The levels are really big and interesting to go through, with lots of objects, fellow toys and things to interact with. The challenge level seems just right, with puzzles that range from easy (Mixing paint, wheee!) to the challenging (figuring out how to arrange lights so a helecopter can land). The music is also excelent, with western, sci fi themes and much more. The controls are fairly easy to learn and master and the two camera modes do a good job. On each level, your goal is to find 5 pizza planet tokens. To do so, you must collect 50 coins, compleate a time race, find the hidden token, find 5 things and fight the boss. Although it sounds like it can get repitetous real fast, for some reason it never does. Unfortunitly the game does have its share of problems. For starters the charachters in the game look incrdiably goofy. Some of the evil toys you must fight can get really annoying (Such as the evil mexican dude in the western levels). Also the overall chalange of the game isint very hard. On my first time through I died only once! That seems a bit unchallenging. The much anticipated Zurg elevator battle is dissapointing, with Zurg being easy to defeat. My biggest gripe is that most of the areas that were seen in the movie are much different in the game. For instance, the inside of the elevator shaft is only 5 stories tall and has 2 elevators, and Al's house looks nothing like it did in the movie. Overall, this is a fun game that nobody should miss.

The good: Great graphics, Great levels, music and sounds,good level of challenge

The bad: graphics are somewhat choppy, impossible to judge jumps

And the ugly: Boss battles can be somewhat dissapointing, Levels are a lot different from the movie

this game is totally awesome. I'm on level 11 and it seems like I am Buzz Lightyear. the graphics are so cool. Plus the movie clips give you an Idea of the movie. this game is a must buy game. If you are stuck in the mud buy tips and tricks january 2000 for awesome strategies. I am 11 and I have played games that just rocks but not like this one. My brother and me love it! Buy it now.

Three Years of Fun

Loved it!!!! My husband and I have played this game off and on for 3 years. We finally finished it. We loved laying in bed taking turns. Our 3 year old started playing it when he was 2 1/2. We saved all the levels, so he could play at each level. Now he can get to most levels on his own. Even though we finished the game, we still go back to levels that we did not get everything and try to get them. Years and years of enjoyable fun. Need more games like this!!!!

This game is very fun. The playable charachter is Buzz Lightyear. The game is like the movie. Ther are mini bosses too, for example: the electronic robot, and the Zurg kite. To unlock levels or bosses, you have to have the givin amount of Pizza Planet tokens. You get them by comleting tasks or looking around each level very carefully. Here is a tip for beating bosses: Press R1 and hold down the shoot butten, you will see that your laser meter is extending, when it is fully charged, and let go. This will take more of the enimies life away. In most levels you will find Ham. Walk up to him. He will ask you to bring a certain amount of coins to him. If you do he will give you a Pizza Planet token. In some levels Mr. Potatohead will be standing around somewhere. He will ask you to find one of his missing body parts. Bring it to him and he will give you a Pizza Planet token.

I found myself "watching" the game

My son, who is five, got this game as a gift. He loved it right away. I would often sit in the room with him and watch it because it was entertaining. It did take him a long time to complete the game, and he would often get frustrated with some of the tasks (collecting Bo Beep's sheep was difficult for him). I would have to help him in these cases. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, its funny and the graphics are great. My son has learned some problem-solving skills as well.

Toy Story 2 is a good game. It has it's fair share of mind-blowing colors and characters but its worthy of three stars only. While I would say that the original story and the graphics are worthy of five stars, the gameplay is the problem. This game is geared toward children and its cartoonish features and snappy music will appeal to them. However, the controls are overly complicated for kids and the levels are frustrating more often than not (reminescent of A BUGS LIFE). But then again, kids usually figure things out before adults so maybe I'm the problem...who knows. Rent it first to see if you are interested in the purchase.
