This game was a yawner.

Made by the same producers of the Tekken series, I was quite surprised to have found this game extremely boring. The movie-bits that come programmed in this game were decent enough to watch, but the load time and the actual game play were slow and unexciting. If you're into fast paced action type fighting games, this one is not for you. You'd probably enjoy other fighting games like Soulblade (or Soul Edge, I keep forgetting the exact title) or any one of the Tekken games better than this one.

this is the best fighting game i've ever played.

Just not very impressive

The overall impression of the game is...eh. I would recommend renting this game before actually buying. There were plenty of characters and weapons, but there were just not enough moves to master in this game. Playing the quest mode a few times thru and the pattern of the game becomes rather stale. I did have fun playing it with some friends, but the interest never lasted.

Pretty Decent...

I got Bushido Blade 2 last christmas and when I first started playing it I thought it was pretty cool. I mean if your into watching blood fly everywhere when you kill your opponent. But I was disapointed when I found it to be really hard to get the two special characters and the two with the guns. But with the exception of that it's a pretty good game. You might want to rent it first though before you buy it cause like a lot of games it might not be the one for you.

misunderstood

Bushido Blade 2 is a misunderstood game. It took some time to find out all the moves and such, but it was a worthwile quest. On the surface, it does look a little dull, until you realize that's because this a fighting game where there is no defense at all, just a good offense. Yeah, the special guys are hard to get (You have to make it through the game without getting killed) and there are no real cheat codes that can be used. Just play, and savagery. As a fighting game, the Vs. setting can allow fo as many as 100 or more matches per hour, and the load time really isn't bad. All it takes is a little exploration, that's all!

Swordplay at it's Best

Bushido Blade 2 is a very realistic sword/spear 1 or 2 player fighting game set in 3d environments. As you may or may not know, when you get struck with a weapon in this game it either paralyses an arm, slows you down or kills you outright! This can make for some VERY tense moments. In the single player 'slash' mode for example, you have to defeat 100 opponents consecutively without being killed, each opponent becoming more aggressive and skilled than the last! There are a total of 21 characters all of which have a different level of ability with the different weapons. The weapons available are; Naginata(halberd), Katana(samurai sword), Nodachi(BIG samurai sword), Long Sword, Broadsword, Yari(spear)

To anyone who is a fan of samurai films/games (TENCHU, BUSHIDO BLADE1) I would say 'get this game, you will definitely enjoy it' and to anyone else.... 'get it and you will learn to enjoy it' After all what game can offer such life&death close combat!

I've had this game for a year now and will never tire of playing it.

this game was the best in everything. especially the moves. I mean come on they were like real. well looked real (close enough) anyway this game has the graphics, the sound the everything you need that makes a game satisfying. So the all out score of this game would be a 10.

I bought Bushido Blade 2 because I thought it would be the same as the first with a few new options and nifty new graphics. Boy was I wrong. They kept the concept of the original but gave it all new moves, 22 playable characters, and beautiful animation. With all it's stages and many weapons to master, this game still provides a ton of fun just as it did when I got it a year ago. Every one of my friends who played it are now heavily addicted and we've all developed in depth fighting strategies to use on one another. Contrary to what some might say, there is little luck involved in the one hit kill system of this game. Skill and timing always defeat luck.
