this game was the best in everything. especially the moves. I mean come on they were like real. well looked real (close enough) anyway this game has the graphics, the sound the everything you need that makes a game satisfying. So the all out score of this game would be a 10.

A wonderful fighting game

Great story for the 1 player action. In 1 player you do not just fight guy after guy like in normal games there is actually a story to it. So much more variety then the first one. many, many, many more characters. VS mode is wonderful it is not at all just luck. You need to master the moves and have the right timing. This game is a must have.

The most addicting game I've ever played for the PS

After reading all these negative reviews about BB2, I bought the game with a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. I started playing, sure that the game would never match up to its predecessor (Bushido Blade ONE...original name for its sequel ain't it?) However, I had soon become an addict. Even though there are 20+ characters, I didn't ever have the feeling that I was using the same character with a different skin (except maybe Hongou-Kannuki). The controls, though, have been dumbed-down and it is faster-paced than ever. A typical match lasts maybe 20 seconds. (However, one long one did last about 7 minutes, longer than you're likely to get out of Tekken or other brand-name fighters. But it was always fast-paced, even though it was 7 mins.) I average about 200 matches per hour. Although one drawback is the cutting out of the rapier and the steak knife(saber, sorry), the character variety should make up for it. The level graphics is an area that could use (a lot of) improvement, however. Sort of like the fighters in Tekken look good, but there are 2D backgrounds. By the way, did I mention that you can run around, climb, jump, throw dirt, just like you could in a real fight? No? Well, you can in BB2. I would definitely recommend BB2 over any other fighter out there right now--even BB1.

THE BEST FIGHTER TO DATE! NO UNREALISTIC FLAW!

When I first played Bushido Blade one, I thought of it as the most innovative and exellent idea yet. ith no health bars or nonsense like that, it gets to the point. One slash, and you are dead. With Tons of characters and weapons to choose from, it really stands out from the rest. I applaud the makers of this game for such a unique idea. By the way, take my advice and don't listen to negative comments about this game.

...Now onto the game! Bushido Blade 2 is the and I mean THE BEST game you will ever play and i have played over a hundred games on N64, PSX, Computer, NES, Super NES ect. But over all Bushido Blade 2 meets my high standards for a fighting game. It has very open fighting grounds and cool chrecters like Tony Umeda, Tatsumi, Mikado, Isohachi and Chihiro. Plus you can choose their weapons to go with them. ZESTY!!!

This game is really fun because it's not like other Fighting games. It's more of a 1 hit kill type game. So it emphisises on attacking not blocking. Plus the storyline is great! If you look past the outdated graphics you will see a great game!

you should GET THIS GAME!!!

Bushido Blade 2 is the sequel to Bushido Blade, This game is way better and has new features; like new characters, weapons moves, and individual plots and storys, As well as over 20 characters, And many levels.
When i first read about this game i was disapionted to find that they had 2 attak buttons and no more slash mode (basiclly nijas keep coming at you while you bet them silly) But i found that that wasn't as bad as i heard- in the story mode the nijas run at you! then you fight a boss! Along the way friends help you and if you mange to keep them alive, they stay with you. Also the 2 buttons make the battle progess faster. There is a major improvement in graphics and it is easir to use sub weapons.
And of coarse there is the one essence of bushido blade that differs from every fighting game- realisum; in this game if the blade hits you in a vital area you die, in the leg you go slower (instead of falling on one leg in BB1) If the sword hit youre arm you may not throw a sub weapon because it is limp.
In the story you begin to notice the rilvary between to clans; and learn intresting things about the character you didn't know in the first aslo- the is a big surprize in 2 characters endings that is un-expected. its basiclly a final fight between the Narakigami and the Shinto. And of coarse he grim sasfaction of the cheesy pixle red dot and youre oppent falls to the ground(oh yeah Vs. is the best) I really recomend you try this game, it is a great fighter. [....]

The overall impression of the game is...eh. I would recommend renting this game before actually buying. There were plenty of characters and weapons, but there were just not enough moves to master in this game. Playing the quest mode a few times thru and the pattern of the game becomes rather stale. I did have fun playing it with some friends, but the interest never lasted.

Closest to real life fighting yet!

This game takes you into reality and excludes the cheesy fire balls and magic spells. You have to learn the art of fighting with a sword or spear (non-throwing) using only skill and timing. You have a choice of 22 characters each with their own sub-weapon (throwing weapon). The down side of this game is obtaining the four secret characters but for those gamers that like a challenge it is a definite plus.Out of all fighting games i've played this one and BB1 surpass all others as far as shear fighting.Great 3D enviroments and use of grafics make this game a good bet and a worth while buy.
