I am an avid gamer. You play in 3rd person as Lara Croft. This game is not only beautiful, it is a BLAST! If your not shooting at someone, then you are solving puzzles or riding a motorcyle AND shooting. It has a little bit of something for everyone and super addicting. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!! BUY THIS GAME! IT IS AWSOME! THANK YOU EIDOS, YOUR BACK... ALL THE GAMES ARE GREAT, BUT HANDS DOWN- THIS IS THE BEST.

Love Lara Croft... But my husband finished this game in one day. LIke he got home from work started playing and was done by bedtime total of maybe 6 hours. I think that is not worth the money. Of course he did the same thing with Myst. Bought it for him for Xmas last year and he was done by the next morning. Overall we were pleased with this game. There was some parts that actually stumped him and that is amazing!

Fairly entertaining!

I havn't played many of the other Tomb Raiders. I mostly avoided them due to the word of mouth on how bad they were. But there was a certain buzz surrounding this one. I decided to give it a try.

I was quite impressed with it. The opening cut scene with Lara and her mother was pretty well done, and got me quite interested with the story line. As I got further along, I liked it more and more. It really had me playing just to find out what happened next. Some of the dialogue was a bit cheesy for my tastes, but for the most part, it was well written.

The graphics department should be easy. I'm playing it on a PS2, so it's certainly not the best, but definitly enjoyably to look at. I love any game with beautiful scenery.

The controls are fluid and easy to learn. Everything is fairly straight forward, which lets you jump right in. However, the combat system seems sort of half-baked. It's pretty standard. Run around and shoot things until they die. Lara has a variety of moves to use, which all look good, but don't add much. Still, it can be fun at times.

Overall, it's a great game, with a few flaws. The game is short, but enjoyable. Maybe it's not revolutionary, but at the current price mark of 30 dollars, it's a good buy.

I like the new Lara.

Tomb Raider was the first 3d game I ever played, and I loved it. I've played all of them. In this new release, the graphics are great, I like the new control system but I would've really liked it if I could targeted and zoomed in on the bad guys myself rather than have an autotargetting system. I guess I've been spoiled by all those other shooting games I've played.

First time TR player but total Lara Fan!!!!

I am a five year seasoned gamester. Having just completed TRL (my first TR game) I have to agree with the other posts. I was greatly disappointed with the length of the game. I am use to quest games that equal the length of Zelda, Primal, Final Fantasy V and Eternal Darkness. Some of the puzzles were a bit challenging but left me kinda hangin. The graphics were great besides being a bit dark even after adjusting my TV and game settings. But overall it was a great game and challenging at times. I just wish it was longer and more complex.

Tomb Raider: The Legend. Is the best among all Tomb Raider games.

This game is INCREDIBLLY great. The graphics are the best I have ever seen in any games.. It all is so beautifully done. Especially the Bolivia level.

However, people wouldn't buy TRL just because of the graphics. But they do help a little.
The levels are really fun, also. But in the first one.. I didn't find it to be very challenging or fun.
The controls are WAY WAY WAY better than they have ever been in TR. It could not be any better. You don't even have to press the action button to grab onto another ledge. In all the older ones.. You had to. So that is pretty good.
And you can change the outfits.. Not by level. But you do have to unlock them. That's part of the fun. The Time Trials and everything. Now I wonder what will be in the next one.
And one of the cons are.. THAT this game is JUST too friggin short for forty dollars. I never finished a TR game before. Well, except for TRAD but that one sucked so I don't count that one as a TR game. There are only

There are only seven levels. But replay as Time Trials.. They are pretty challenging. Even the first level was SOO hard..

And I know.. This game isn't too adventurous like the other games were. But it is a great game no matter what.

And oh yeah it takes FOREVER for a pistol upgrade.

Tomb Raider improvement

Thank God the memories of the old Tomb Raider games on the Playstation One are just that- memories! I HATED those games. Now, Lara Croft has arrived to the Playstation 2 and the graphics, action, and characters have ALL been improved. This is *so* much better than those old Tomb Raider games that it's not even funny. You have many weapons such as grenade launchers, assault rifles, and shotguns. Each weapon is a lot of fun, too. I love chasing and killing a guy named Takamoto. There's one REALLY hard part of the game where you have to kill a whole bunch of guards along the street while using the grappling hook. I always have trouble with this part.

I think this game is good enough to say- Lara Croft is one fine, dangerous babe.

I think this game is really good; however, it's a bit difficult for a beginner in video games like me. I have a really hard time on the "timed" sections of the game because I'm not fast enough (as yet) to beat the clock. Other than my inabilities though, it's a really interesting game and I do enjoy it.

My kids love it

Hi I have two step children ages 15 and 9. I bought them some PS 2 games for Christmas and some other electronic goodies. When we were in a store they remarked that this would be a great game for them to own as they've played it at friends' houses. Got a great price on Amazon and so now they play it all the time....seems to be a winner.

Let me begin by saying I love the Tomb Raider games. It's awesome to be able to play a strong female character in games. The graphics were great, the game play was classic Tomb Raider style with a few new tricks. I really enjoyed the motorcycle racing, but the game was over far too quickly. For the price of the game new (when it first released) I really expected more game time for the money paid. The shortness of the game is the reason I gave it a rating of 3, but the overall game play was spectacular, so that got a 5. Definitely a worthy addition to the series, just PLEASE make the next one longer.
