Field Weakness/Families
Each Digimon has a Field Weakness. It is different from previous games in the series, where the strength or weakness were the attribute (Data, Vaccine, VĂrus). In this game the Field Weakness (or Family) are as follows.
DR (Dragon's Roar): Most of them are Vaccine. As the name implies, the Digimons from this Family are Dragons and Dinosaurs (for example, Agumon, Greymon, Veemon).
NSp (Nature Spirits): Most of them are Data or Vaccine. The Digimons from this Family are usually Beasts like canines and felines (for example, Gaomon, Gaogamon, Garurumon).
JT (Jungle Troopers): Most of them are Data, with a few Virus. The Digimon from this Family are usually Plant Digimon or even Insects (for example, Lalamon, Yanmamon, Woodmon).
ME (Machine Empire): Most of them are Data or Virus. As the name implies, the Digimons from this family are Machines or Cyborgs, but they can also be Mutant or Odd Digimons (for example, Hagurumon, Numemon, Monzaemon).
DS (Deep Savers): Most of them are Data. The Digimon from this Family are Aquatic (for example, Otamamon, Tyromon, Whamon).
WG (Wind Guardians): Most of them are Data or Vaccine. The Digimon from this Family are usually Birds (for examples Falcomon, Birdramon, Yatagaramon).
VB (Virus Busters): All of them are Data or Vaccine. The Digimon from this Family are Fighters of Justice, Digimons who fight against evil (for example, Salamon, Angemon, Alphamon).
NSo (Nightmare Soldiers): Most of them are Virus. The Digimon from this Family are usually Demons, Undeads, or Mythological. Digimons with the "Black" prefixes are also from this Family (for example, Goburimon, Myotismon, Creepymon).
Family relationships
The relationships are:
- DR and NSp
- JT and ME
- DS and WG
- VB and NSo
The damage system works as follows.
Digimons from opposite Families inflicts 50% more damage to each other (for example, DR gives more damage to NSp and vice-versa).
Digimons of the same Families inflicts 50% less damage to each other (for example, a VB does half damage to another VB).
Digimons from different families inflicts normal damage to each other (for example, a DS versus a NSo or a JT versus a DR).
Defeating Lucemon
The last two battles are with Lucemon, the evil digimon from season 4 of Digimon. Keep Agumon in his mega form. Use DR Drive, Attack X2, Mega Drive (abilities), Invisible (item), and All Or Nothing (item). Keep attacking Lucemon until he faints. If both of your allies faint, Invisible wears off and you must revive them. When they are back, Invisible will return on Agumon.
