Boot Camp:
After you complete the task of looking at the lights, walk right and go through the door. On the shelf you will find a lock pick. You can use this to pick the lock for the door just next to the entrance for covert ops. You will find a keypad code, which can be used for the left hand door at the start of the level. If you're lazy, the keypad code is 5656. Use the code on the left door. Through this door are two rooms, Grimsdottir is in the second room. You can talk to her, but of course, hitting her will get you fired.

Hiding
You cannot be seen when hiding in dark places. Shoot the lights to make it dark, but make sure that there are no guards around. Do not stay in the light too long.

Escaping a room full of soldiers
Take a sticky camera or smoke grenades and throw it near where the most guards are located. For the sticky camera, a control bar that tells you how to make a noise or use smoke will appear at the bottom of the screen. Throw the smoke grenade and the smoke should knock out some guards. When the smoke appears from the grenade(s), it is your chance to run for it .

Knock out an enemy
To knock out an enemy without killing him, equip the sticky camera and shoot it at his head. Aim slightly above the head to compensate for gravity. After he is down, pick up the sticky camera and use it again.

Defense Ministry: Getting to the South Hall/Wing
After interrogating the driver and heading back upstairs, save at the checkpoint and view the intermission sequence of the window in the courtyard opening. Walk out on the balcony and turn left. Jump on the rain gutter on the wall. Move along the gutter towards the open window. If an alarm goes off, you have not properly hidden your dead bodies. Move back through the level and throw all your dead bodies into dark corners.

Defense Ministry: Nikoladze's Office
Once you rappel through the glass window and kill the guard, access the computer in the far right corner of the level first. Then, access the main (Nikoladze's) computer closest to the window. Immediately run back to the window and drop out, but stay near to the ledge so that you will grab hold of it and hang out with the window. Guards will enter and search the office. They will not see you if you remain hanging out the window. They will clear the room, then leave. You can now access the computer again (as instructed by HQ). Then, proceed with caution when reaching your extraction point.

Luring your enemy
To do this, find a can or glass bottle to pick up. Once obtained, move to a location, preferably dark. While hidden, throw the can or bottle to an open area with an enemy nearby. When thrown, the enemy will wonder what happened and walk towards that location. After you have drawn him out, you can take him out for an easy kill.

Extra Equipment Cia Level
Right after you have knocked out Mitchell turn around. Go to the last door in the hall. It will be marked UFO Sightings Office. Use your lock pick and unlock it. Go to the computer and get the data stick. It will be encrypted but, you can see the numbers 020781. Go to the keypad, type it in. Inside on the table to the right there is 2 sticky shockers and on the table to the left there is 5 reusable cameras. Take them and get the body. You may now proceed with the new equipment.

Distraction Camera
Whenever you see some enemies gathered, throw a Distraction Camera so that they will not notice it. After you have control over controlling the camera, continuously press the distracting whistle noise. The guards will come over, but if not all the guards are there that are in fairly close distance with the camera, then keep making the distracting noise. Once some of the guards are over there, release the gas. Sometimes the guards may just cough a few times, but not get knocked on conscious.

Gas Grenade
This is an equivalent of the gas that is in the Distraction Camera. However, this has a taller and wider gas range. Also, instead of spraying in one direction, this is like a gas cloud. Whenever you see a group of enemies, you will want to ricochet these off of a wall and get it so that it's positioned near the enemies. It will burst open and gas will fly out. Again, the enemies may not be knocked on conscious. Usually, depending on how close you throw it to the enemies, the enemies will immediately be alerted.

Thermal goggle keypad reading
The keypad is based on color it goes from Deep Blue, Blue, Light Green, Green, yellow, and orange-ISH for example if you looked on a keypad after someone and put in a code and see a dark blue at 5, light blue at 4, light green at 3, and orange-ISH 2 than the code is 5-4-3-2.

Annoy Lambert:
When you begin the first level (Dili, Timor) you will start off in the water. Now just sit there, or run around in the water, but dont progress through the level. After 15 seconds after Lambert stops briefing you, he will ask you what you are doing. 15 more seconds after you reply, he makes another comment. And another 15 seconds left, he tells you to get moving because lives are at stake. Now you are free to continue your game.

Passenger Car:
On the train stage after you climb up from under the train you usually have to go around the outside of the train by way of the side door. But that can be very difficult since if people in the train see you the mission is over. An easier way is to turn off the lights by using the switch outside of the room where you climbed into the train from. Once th elights are off one passenger will come to investigate but if you hide behind the last row of seats you can knock him out easily. After that you can just walk through the car past the terrorists and all. (If you want to once you get to the other end of car you can lure the terrorists to you by whistling and then knocking them out. Just make sure they don't trip an alarm.

Stealth:
To move quieter, crouch down and walk slower. This will make your steps softer, and keep you undetected to a limit. To decrease your chances of being seen, shoot out the lights with your gun. Be careful, as if there is an enemy is under that light they may see you shooting it out.

Whistling:
To whistle, press Black. This will usually make a guard approach the sound. Note: Hide in a dark area and whistle, then jump the guard when he stops.

Airport Alternate Route:
On the last stage (Los Angeles Airport) after you get through the parking garage you come to a room with a guard in a booth to your left and a female janitor right in front of you. In this room you have two options to advance. #1) The first option is to go through the guards booth by either luring him out and then running in before the door closes, or use the door code(its either 1387 or 1687). #2) The second and eaiser option is to go into the bathroom opposite the guard booth and climb through the vent in the wall this will take you to the same place as the other way and you won't have to deal with the guard.

Costume Change:
Beat the game on Hard difficulty mode and at the select game screen hold L + R, press black (2), white (2), Y, X, Y, X to unlock 2 different costumes for Sam.

Change Rate Of Fire In Multiplayer (Merc):
When playing as a merc, press and hold X to change your rate of fire (ROF) to Burst. To change it back to Auto, hold X again.

LAX - Room keycode:
If you want to get into the security room after the car park on the LAX level instead of using the vents in the toilet or distracting the guard to get him out and then finding out you have locked yourself in the room, just type 1387 on the keypad and your in!

Sniper Mode: Sniper Mode is only available with the SC-20K!
-Equip SC-20K.
-Press Y button to enter Sniper Mode.
-Press the left trigger to hold Sam's breath and steady his aim (for a
limited time, around 10 seconds).
-Right trigger to fire.

Emergency Flare:
Similar to Chemical Flare, these standard road flares also emit a great
deal of heat, making them useful for distracting heat sensors such as
those found on automated turrets.
Hint: Defeating Norman Soth:
After you have climbed up the elevator cables and have gotten on top of the other elevator, crawl through the hole in the wall. Norman Soth and two other mercenaries are on the top pathways. While in the hole, there will be one guard on the top path, slightly to the right. You should be able to shoot him in the head. Then, a timer will start and you will have one minute to kill Norman Soth and his other mercenary. When you shoot the first mercenary, drop out of the hole onto the first pathway. The second mercenary will go to exactly where the you shot the first mercenary. Shoot the second mercenary in the head. Note: The second guard will be aiming at the hole, so he will not see you if you drop out of the hole. The last person to kill is Normon Soth. Start running down the pathway and turn left on the second to last walkway on the left. Look up and turn on your thermal vision. You will see Normon Soth. Get a clear shot and shoot him in the head. After that you must retrieve the smallpox box from the top pathway. If you are on the second to last pathway on the left, go up the ladder. There will be another ladder; use it to climb up. Drop off the ledge onto the pathway. Run down the middle pathway to find the smallpox box.
Hint: Easier aiming with pistol:
To aim better with the pistol, press X to pull it out. The crosshair should appear normal. Then, press Up on the D-pad and the crosshair should become a laser sight. This makes it very easy to aim, since the laser sight is smaller and thinner than the normal crosshair. This allows fast kills and head shots. Note: If you are in dark corners and have the laser sight on, the enemies will notice and attack you.
Hint: Easier aiming with SC-20K:
Click the Right Analog-stick to zoom in the sniper scope, then press L to hold your breath. You should be able to get a good shot while Sam remains still.
Hint: Knocking out guards:
To knock out a guard without using a Sticky Shocker or a Air Foil, shoot a Sticky Cam at their head. Note: It must hit him directly in the head for the guard to get knocked out.

Hint: Multiplayer: Talking to teammate after losing:
When you are playing in an online match and lose all of your respawn lives, mute your teammate and then unmute him. Both of you can now communicate with each other.
Hint: Prince Of Persia references:
On the mission when you are on the train, look in the second car where the guard is located. Knock him out then go behind the fenced door. Look down you will see a magazine featuring Prince Of Persia. On the third level when you are in Paris on the train, at the beginning there will be a room with an engineer. Knock him out. On the floor of the room is a Prince Of Persia strategy guide.
Hint: Level select:
When you complete the game under the normal or hard difficulty setting, when you go back into the game make sure you go over towards the level select instead of checkpoints. You could lose your data and have to do it over again if the wrong choice is made.
Glitch: Los Angeles: Persistent light:
When you are past the dog area, go in the room with the security guard and the half circle cut window and make some noise. When he comes out, hit him then put on your night vision goggles. Then, shoot out the light. The light will still be there.
