Load the savegame into the hexeditor and change the offsets 87.990, 87.991 and 87.992 to FF. Now you should have enough money.
Here's a cheat for Lords of the Realm:
At the beginning of the game build a castle as low as possible. (I used 3 stones and 1 wood) When it is built, extend it and make it so you need 100 stone and 100 wood. You don't need to let it build, as soon as you leave the design screen demolish the castle. The result: You get 65000 tons of wood and stone - absolutely free.
