There are a lot of weak games out here but this game just about puts the mustard on the hotdog. I aint played a weaker 3rd person view action game(suppose to be action) than POW. For real man, I'm not even playing. Microsoft should stop letting people make these weak ass games. It's games like this that make me want to kill somebody. This game is so cheesy, man, it don't even make sense. They gone make the cover look all serious like it's good. DO NOT BE FOOLED. This game is broken.......completely broken.

You do nothing. You are just a prisoner. the germans have sniper rifles and other german guns. you have nothing. i am not saying you have to use knives, crowbars, hands, etc., etc. You can not fight. All you do is take some plans, avoid the big guys with the guns, and talk to some guys in a REALLY bad camera angle. So it is pointless. I am giving it back after one damn day.
i was so excited when i saw this game. I was thinking, "Hey maybe i can sneak into a German stronghold, steal a Lt.'s clothes, strangle him (or something to kill) and start shooting. But no, all you do is walk and get shot. Do you die? No, you go in the nurse's office. This game sux.

This game got everyone's hopes up for a realistic "prisoner of war" scenario. What you get is a preset plot with no divertion. Your viewpoint is nonchangeable and rigid. When you "sneak" about the guards can see you and your character looks like he's bopping along the screen-its very funny to watch. All in all not a game I would want to buy.

Set during World War 2, Prisoner of War drops you into the role of an Allied fighter pilot. Shot down over Germany, you are captured and placed into a P.O.W. camp. Using only your wits and a little bit of stealth, you must escape from the camp. Easily the biggest problem with the game is the lack of interaction with the game's enviroment. Out of necessity you can explore the camp, yet everything you find is mere window dressing. The only items you can touch aer those apsolutely necessary to the plot. As a result the game is forced down a straight path. Another bad thing is if you pick up an item you can only use it at a certain time. In the end, Prisoner of War is a great concept that never quite delivers on its immense promise.

POW is is a great game! Voice acting is terrible, but that's its only major flaw. The idea is great, but no action. You can't get a gun and kill a guard or blow up the German barracks. This game is strictly stealth and espionage. I have a lot of fun with this game but if your a "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" fan, this game is not for you. If you would rather think how to get around a 10 foot wall instead of blowing it up, you would love this game. Rent or buy it!
