Fun, Easy, But farily short

I had a lot of fun playing this game. You play as all four animals with each of their unique abilities. But the button mapping is the same for each animal which makes it much easier to have fun in the game without having to learn all the different moves. I say game, but actually the game is a platformer (my personal favorite type of game) segmented by mini games (tasks). The voices for each character add to the game without getting too annoying. The character voices are similar to how the movie was written with heavy overuse of every cliche' in the English language. So nothing new here for audio. However the levels locations and tasks are what I liked best about this game. They compliment the movie because they are what you didn't see in the movie. For instance in the movie we have no idea how Marty got out of the zoo. In the game you get him out. We don't know how the penguins took over the ship. In the game you take over the ship as the penguins. You get the idea. I'll have to say I liked the game better than the movie just because the movie was so poorly written. Well not written, stolen, since every line or gag was taken from some other movie or a playground of 5 year olds. Unlike movies though games are supposed to be a little over the top and repetative. My 5 year old and I have probably finished this game about 10 times. It's not hard to finish in one afternoon. But since it's mostly minigames I like the replay value. Thank goodness because any minute now I'm going to hear him saying "Dad. Do you want to play Madagascar?"

Great fun for a 6 year old

This was our first Xbox game and we loved it. My 6 year old daughter and I can play it together. It was difficult enough for her to find it interesting, but not too hard to get through the whole thing. She still goes back and plays each level over and over. Even my 3 year old loves the mini games like the shuffleboard game and the minigolf.

Madagascar is very fun, but pretty easy. It should be rated E instead of E10.There are pretty cool moves, like Marty's long jump, Gloria's butt bounce, Melman's Helicopter Spin and Gloria's Hip Check.There are 11 levels,I got to the last one on the second day,plus minigames like Tiki Minigolf , Shuffleboard and Lemur Rave.If you are a beginner, it might seem a little hard, but if you are an expert like me, it's EZ.

I'm 18, but I just got my x-box and am still getting adjusted to playing with a controller instead of a keyboard. This game helped me learn. It's easy enough, the graphics are good, and the moves and soundbites are cool. It's fairly easy so it would make a good kids game, but that's who it's aimed at! I would reccomend it for beginners or for kids.

I bought this game for my great-nephew for his sixth birthday. When his father called me to thank me for the gift, I could hear my great-nephew laughing in the background and talking back to the animals on the screen. He even told his Grandmother that she would like the game, but that she would have to start at Level One since that was the easiest level. He has advanced up to the final level now and loves this game!!

I bought this game as a gift for my little brother, he describes it as "awesome".

I absolutely LOVE this game! I think it should be fun for all ages (I'm 26) and the characters are very funny. Not just for kids!

I saw madegascar the movie and it was halirous while the the game is halurisly bad. Like most movie games it's very repatitive and boring. It's graphics are not the best but ok, and the scenery can't get any duller. So bite you fingers for amusment instead of getting this game. (...)
