I had a problem receiving the game from Amazon. They delayed 1 day because UPS had problems identifing the adress! I think Amazon should review the way the summarize the adress.
The game itself is not bad, but not worth the price! The first version GTA liberty city was great.
Great game, but the controls...

Great game. But if you're used to PS2 controls for the other GTA games, then it takes a lot to get used to the PSP controls.

I'm a big fan of GTA title games. I've purchased them all, even the lackluster GTA 2. GTA: San Andreas is my favorite all-time video game. So I guessed that the PSP titles would be just as good.
Vice City Stories attempts the comical and outlandish story lines from previous titles, but it fails. With a boring and dull plot, and un-convincible characters, the story didn't impress me.
Nonetheless, the PSP does have a beautiful hi-res screen which presents Vice City Stories graphics perfectly.
The gameplay is tricky with the PSP's joystick, and can become annoying. But with patience, you'll easily master it.
GTA titles are known for their amazing soundtracks. GTA: Vice City on PS2 had a great soundtrack. Vice City Stories mimics it, but the music fails to meet GTA standards.
Overall, the game is purchasable if you are trying to get a great PSP title. But as far as GTA fans go, stick to the counsel platform titles.

It's a fun game, nice to visit Vice City again. Getting used to the PSP controllers take a little bit of time. I was pleased with the music, (the selection for Liberty City Stories was just awful).
I have not completed the game yet, but my biggest gripe is that in the first save house I keep losing my cars (wasn't that a problem they had corrected years ago in a different version???. A reall bummer considering I had the V8 muscle car... if it wasn't for that I'd have give the game 4 stars.

Rock star could be credited with saving the PSP from the same fate that took the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast. Their hand held expansions of GTA 3 and Vice City push the portable media platform to its limits. With about sixty story missions and about three dozen side ones like empire building(the money earn from empire building gets dump directly into your account) and finding equine stunts and races. The player get to meet the germen transsexual Reni who DJ for Flashback FM in Liberty City, and Phil Collins makes an appearances as Phil Collins, and Gary Busey and Philip Thomas reprises his role as Phil Cassidy.
The Player takes the roll of Vic Vance, Lance Vance's older (brother who is killed off screen in Vice City) two years before Tommy Vercetti Comes in to the picture. Kicked out of the army for helping a crooked NCO Vic Vance has to swallow his pride and, along with his impulsive brother Lance, have to step in the back stabbing underworld of crime to support their family.
The game play is mirror to Liberty City's Stories, go from safe house to job, do the job go back to safe house, do a little exploring, not that there's anything wrong with it, the missions are fun and with the money from empire building money collected automatically, the player has access to choice weapons early in the game, easy to find Hidden packages, (In this game their balloons that you have to pop) help to build your arsenal without buying anything, and the cuts scenes are fun to watch. You get new vehicles like jet skies and hovercrafts.
There are some great characterizations in it too. Lance proves to be even more of a moron( one might think it was his stupidity that got Vic killed) , Vic tries to honey up to Phil Cassidy's younger sister. But the Character of Vic seems inconsistent. He comes off as a man who doesn't want to go that far deep but keeps going; he starts off as a honorable soldier and just degrades into a murderous street thug, all the time is he seem to know that he is doing the wrong thing. The pervious characters like Claude, Tommy and CJ are all career criminals, they didn't start out as productive member of society, they where pushers and pychos and OGs.

This mind blowing, exciting, sequel to GTA:Vice City Stories, is only for ps2 and psp. the game is rated M and only cost 20 dollars. its one player and has good graphics. in the game he gets kicked out of the army, and turn into a hired killer. the game runs smoothly because it only has one loading screen between the island. the setting is the same as vice city but with a few new buildings. this game is a good game to sit down and play.

As in my other video game reviews, you will find absolutely no spoilers here, so read on.
Rockstar once again have outdone themselves with their long-awaited title, but it was worth the wait! So, let's cut to the chase:
Graphics:
Awesome! This time around, you will actually tell a difference between night and day. When the night falls, you will see beautiful street lights and store signs all around you, resembling a Miami night filled with lights.
Controls:
Great news! If you played Liberty City Stories, you already know the controls, as they are unchanged. So keep playing where you left off, instead off spending hours learning the controls.
Gameplay:
What can I say...this time around, Rockstar took all the best features from previous titles and combined them here and then added some more. There is so much to do, but I will not spoil it, but believe me, you will be busy for a while. Here is a brief overview of some features:
Swimming: Don't worry about falling into water and dying by accident, just swim back to the shore!
Cops using motorcycles(this wasn't implemented in original Vice City game)
New Vehicles: Rockstar listened and included the most vehicles into a title than ever before, including water and flying vehicles.
Weapons: new weapons implemented, including a silencer add-on.
Annoyances Removed: When arrested or wasted, you can now pay a bit more to get your weapons back.
Revenues from your businesses/empires are deposited into your pocket right away at the end of the day! No more waiting a day and running to " $ " icon to get your payouts.
Sounds:
This is why this game is such a great value: You get 105 different 80's songs from various radio stations, which is about 25%-50% more radio songs than previous averages. Once again, you will be treated for sexually-oriented humor on radio shows and hilarious commercials. If you are a fan of a radio as much as you are of a game itself, you will not be dissapointed!
Bottom Line: If you are a GTA fan, you will love it. If you aren't, you will learn to love it. This could arguably be Rockstar's best title of the series.

Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories is an enjoyable video game. If you don't have a Sony PSP and you are a fan of the Grand Theft Auto Series, you may want to pick up a PSP to play this game. Vice City Stories is an extension of the 2002 hit game Grand Theft Auto Vice City. The game takes place two years before the original Vice City with different lead characters. This time around you will be playing as Victor Vance. Vance is a military man, frustrated with his career looking to make a little extra cash. Surprisingly it's his supervisor Martinez who hooks him into making a little cash on the side via crime.
If you played and enjoyed Grand Theft Auto Vice City, you should like this game. Afterall, there is no place like home. The map is not identical to the first game but it's very similar. Some of the businesses you remember from the PS2 game have not yet been built but there are a lot of new businesses and the roads are slightly different in some area. There is also much more time spent on the military base near the airport, as your first save house is Vic's barracks on the base. For this game you start out on what is known as the second island. When driving along you hear the familiar message about bridges closed. Road blocks block access to the other island, but you can access Starfish Island from the beginning of the game.
The first few missions are simple enough. The main character Vic can swim for a short amount of time and the first mission has him swimming to shore and then delivering a package. The next mission you will be paying a visit to Phil Cassidy (a character from Grand Theft Auto Vice City), and helping him with some problem some people.
Rockstar Games did not push the Grand Theft Auto series further with Vice City Stories, so don't look for a lot of new features that didn't appear in San Andreas, the most recent game in the series. GTA Vice City Stories is basically a new adventure in a familiar setting.
The game looks gorgeous and quite cinematic on the PSP system. The soundtrack is awesome with all of the previous stations returning and a few new ones. The vehicle handling is awesome. I had a few issues with targeting as far as shooting but I got better with that. Playing the game you rely on the left analog pad a lot. On the PSP the pad is not raised off of the system. This caused my thumb to get sore a lot quicker than it ever did than when I played a game on the PS2.
Overall, GTA Vice City Stories is everything you loved about GTA Vice City in a portable system with a great soundtrack and a new storyline. I had absolutely no complaints with the game. I love the free roaming that GTA Vice City Stories provided in no time I was wandering around finding hidden body armor. I will say that the game is much better than Liberty City Stories, a lot of improvements have been made. This game will provide you with hours of fun.
Worth it just for the soundtrack
