An improvement over the GBA versions, but nothing jaw dropping

I bought this game the day it came out if that indicates how much of a fan I am of this Konami series. I'm 26 years old so yeah that seems a bit pathetic, but when you grow up on chess and risk, strategy games are just your 'thing.'

I have owned it for a week now and all I can really say about the game is "Its ok, I just hope there is a some sort of plot somewhere.'

What I mean by that is as such: The title screen starts off with this dramatic and tense music, indicating a story or tension that will be resolved by playing the game. So for the past 5 days I have been basically wandering around battling people and leveling up my deck. Its fun, but, I can see it getting old.

The game starts you off in the game shop where Yugi's grandfather tells you all about this big tournament and you decide to enter; thats pretty much all you are told. The title of this DS game has the word 'nightmare' in it. I sure hope something happens in this game soon on the level of plot development.

If this game has something more to it, and actually coincides somewhat with the title, then I give it a 8 out of 10. If its basically 'more of the same' of what I am doing right now, then all things considered it gets a 6 out of 10.

I hope that gives you at least some form of purchasing advice on this game. :)

I had a lot of fun playing this, the dueling gets old after a while because you have to build your level to advance. But it is fun, you get to duel your friends, it is almost like having a real duel disc.

There is a story!

This is truly the greatest Yu-Gi-Oh game ever! For all you stingey parents, this will teach your child strategy and lots of it! The big problem is that the DS's capabilities they've made the games smaller and easier to lose. If you keep it safe this game is perfect! This even has 3D grapics so the monsters come to life just like in the show so if you play the game and watch this show you'll love this. Even if you just play the game you should still get this. It has every card before Elemental Energy, even the Gods. You've gotta get this! It is way better than the GBA versions and you can use the touch screen or the controls to beat your oponent!

Yu-Gi-Oh!: Nightmare Troubador......

Yu-Gi-Oh!: Nightmare Troubador, for the Nintendo DS, is an improvement over the Gameboy Advance games...that's for sure. The card game is more polished this time around, with a tutorial for newbies to learn how to play(which is something that Konami never added in their Gameboy Advance iterations). The battles are presented in both 2-D and 3-D on both screens and are really fun and exciting to play.

The only flaw I seen with Nightmare Troubador was that the battles can play on for awhile but, then again, I guess card battles are meant to.

My first try at a Yu-Gi-Oh! game was Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Eternal Duelist Soul for the Gameboy Advance. Needless to say, I played that game for weeks and weeks on end. This is my second Yu-Gi-Oh! experience and, after playing Nightmare Troubador, I look forward to future games on the Nintendo DS.

If you love card games, are a fan of games like Magic: The Gathering or the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime; this game is for you. I had great fun with it and I'm sure you will too.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Lovers, this is a MUST BUY!

My little brother and I purchased this game several weeks ago. We have had a blast playing it, and all our friends are jealous, it's so fun. You can even get the cards you have in real life in this game! You duel all the major characters from the show- Mokuba, Tea, Yugi, Yami Yugi, Seto Kaiba, Joey, Pegasus, Bandit Keith, Para and Dox, Mai, Bonz, Rex, Weevil, Serenity, Marik, Isuzu, and Odion. I might have missed one, but we have dueled all those characters. You play the game using the touch screen to Summon and Set monsters. It looks sweet when you Fusion Summon!

YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS IF YOU LIKE YU-GI-OH!
