Boring!

2 Rating: 2, Useful: 0 / 0

Lets face it, this game sucks.
I felt cheated and wanted my money back for wasting it on such a stupid game.
The levels are dull and repeatitive, you're pretty much just beating up the bad guys for every second of every level. You'd think that's bad enough, but it gets worse, the turtles have a total of about four moves each which makes it even more boring.
It seems Konami rushed this game and releasd it too fast. They should have made it that the turtles had thousands of cool combos and you can tap a button to put away your weapons and fight with your hands and feet, releasing more combos. But no, this game does not have that.
The turtles shout the same boring phrases over and over again. I was so feed up I had to mute my TV. After a few days of playing this I couldn't be bothered to try and complete it, it was just too boring.
Overall, boring levels, no good combos or moves add up to a bad game.
I've read that the second game has over 30 different moves for each turtle, but I don't want to waste my money on another stupid game.
Save your money people, don't buy this game.

Ok games are supposed to fit the category they are placed under. TMNT is a Beat em up and its one of the few games that actually lives up to the category assigned. The point of a Beat em up is TO BEAT CHARACTERS UP and thats all you do in TMNT thank god. Unlike stuff like God of War and many FPSs coming out now a days. Where the game is categorized as Hack and Slash or First Person Shooter and half the time you are solving puzzles. If I wanted to play games in which solving puzzles was a big deal then I would play puzzle games!!!! Not jam puzzles into Action and First Person Shooter gamers where sometimes when you do nt know what to do you end up wasting valuable time, and is some cases might throw ur Xbox or Play Station controller into the TV out of frustration. For me good games are what let you do what you want to do, not add in stuff of their own which goes out of category just to act all smart. Call of Duty 4 is probably one of the few FPSs out there that can be classified as an FPSs and not some diluted hybrid. Mind you TMNT also has its fair share of challenge on occasions.

Heroes in a Half Shell, TURTLE POWER

For those of you that don't know, this game is based on the classic literary tale from the 80's. Named after a bunch of dead artist dudes, the foursome came togeter to fight crime. They're the world's most fearsome fighting teens. They're heroes in a half shell and they're green. When the evil Shredder attacks, these turtles boys don't cut him no slack. Splinter taught them to be ninja teens (he's a radical rat)
Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines (that's a fact chap)
Raphael is cool but crude, (gimme' a break)
Michaelangelo is a party dude (Hurray!!)

Let's hope the game features the hit song, Ninja Rap by the lengandary Vanilla Ice. Then I would be happy.

after hearing all the previews, and watching all the trailers i have to say the game looks great. the graphics are cartoony and thats what makes them really cool. the camara angles i saw were great. no mess up cams like in resident evil or batman dark tommaorw. so the games great plays great but theres only one thing that would make me give this a 5 of 5 is the lack of mutiplayers. there will only be 2 people it the maxs playing at once. boogus! so let hope there will be some xbox live thing.

This game is for young kids only. The graphics are not worthy of an xbox game, nor is the sound. It is just mindless fighting along the lines of late 80's style arcade games with comparable graphics...I thought we had escaped those types forever. In addition to all of its problems, the characters keep saying the same 2 or 3 phrases over and over and over and over....did I say and over!
The only xbox game that I've seen worse than this one would probably be sneakers and I gave it a higher rating, just because it doesn't have one liners that drive you crazy. This is a great gift for that neighbor that you don't like...his kids will drive him insane inside of 3 minutes. Don't buy this new, or used, and if someone gives it to you plan your vengence early.

poorly done

I was willing to overlook many shortcomings in this game such as repetitive one-liners... but the one thing that destroys this game is that you can't save unless you finish all five or six areas in a level...which is ANNOYING. Hopefully Konami will clean this up in the next game.

I rented this game before buying. I usually don't do this but I was skeptical about this one. I lost interest and so didn't finish the game.

This TMNT game brought me back to the NES days, which I enjoyed throughly. This version left a little to be desired. I cannot believe they only allow two players co-op! And the first joystick (main player) cannot change players on continues. If you choose a different turtle at the main menu, you loose your progress also.

A lot of the same enemies were in the new version. The graphics were nice and vibrant but the views in some cases were horrible. They needed to step back the view just a bit, I was constantly hoping to see more of my surroundings, kind of like no periferal(sp?) vision. The turtle voice overs got old pretty quick. I always loved fighting the bosses and liked how they flashed red as their energy depleated. I did not finish the game but the bosses I fought were kind of boaring.

If you liked the NES TMNT games you will enjoy this one. But like I mentioned it lacks some touches. I would recommend renting this one first.

Lousy game, don't believe the "E" rating

This is a terrible game. The only gameplay is beating up people while shouting offensive insults at them.

Worse, the game bears an "E" rating, but I see nothing appropriate in this game for young kids (under 12). All the player does is beat up one person after another and listen to incessant, scripted insults. Each turtle chirps different insults too.

This is especially disappointing given the fact that the property appeals most to kids under 12.

Father and Son(s) perspective

Dad found the game to be too easy, highly repetitive, and thus pretty boring. Additional character scripting would have been great (after the first 30 minutes, I had to either mute the volume or go in the other room). It also makes absolutely no sense to me as to why the game is a two-player fest only, when it was absolutely a natural for up to four players.
My 5 year-old twins, on the other hand, loved it and couldn't put it down. Unfortunately there isn't much available on the X-box for young kids. Is it a violent game? Yes. Is it mild afternoon cartoon violence that the kids have seen before? Yes.
