This game was better suited for my pre-teen but my younger child could not play it. It was to difficult and actually they both lost interest. They complained that it was to difficult to control the monkey in the ball. I tried to play this game and had some difficulty but I am really not a gamer.
Great Game for the BORED

Super Monkey Ball might turn some people off because of the fact that you roll through level after level as a monkey living inside a ball. The object of the game requires you to roll around the levels, going from one place to the other. This can actually make you nauseous after extended periods of play.
Super Monkey Ball gets its fair share of complaints for containing too many rip-offs of standard platform games. It's true the game is very much like a 3D Donkey Kong or Kirby, but you shouldn't dismiss the game until you try it, at least. It will satisfy you, probably.
A lot of fun!

This game is a lot of fun to play, it's a good single-player game, but even more so are all the multi-player games, from tennis (singles or doubles) to baseball, bowling and others, it'll definitely be worth the money.
I love it

My son's Dad brought this back from Army training and at first I laughed at him. Then we had Margarita night (our son was on a road trip with other family) and played Monkey Golf, Monkey Mini Golf, Monkey Racing, and Monkey bowling till the next thing we knew the sun was coming up. We had four grown, responsible adults laughing and having a great (if loud) time.
When our son returned we did it all over again (just without the Margaritas).
This is a game that ANYONE can find something to play and it all makes you laugh. I like to watch the little monkey golfer hitting his golf ball that he happens to be standing inside.

I played this game on the Game Cube and was surprised to find out how addicting it is. Who would have thought that piloting a monkey in a plastic ball through suspended mazes would be fun? Plus, the bonus party games are fun to play, either with others or by yourself. I'm excited that it is finally out on Xbox! The Xbox version is great, too, because it includes all the content of Monkey Ball 1 and 2, plus extra boards.

I first played this game on the Game Cube and was surprised to find out how addicting it is. Who would have thought that piloting a monkey in a plastic ball through suspended mazes would be fun? And yet, it proved to be one of those rare games that both adults and kids enjoy. Plus, the bonus party games are fun to play, either with others or by yourself. The Xbox version is great, too, because it includes all the content of Monkey Ball 1 and 2, plus extra boards.

Super Monkeyball DX for the Xbox, is a puzzle game where you collect bannanas by rolling your monkey inside a ball. I know it sounds strange, but once you play it you'll understand. The monkeys live happily in their monkey village with with friends and family, until one day a ship hovering over, steals all the bananas in your village, leaving your tribe without food! So your mission in each stage is to retrieve as many bananas. While going through insane looking puzzle mazes, filled with hazards such as: conveyer belts, gorges, spikes, winds and more! You guide your ball (monkeyball) with out falling over the maze and reaching the finish line in time. The concept is very simple and the game very addictive! You can also play any of the twelve (12) mini-games included, such as; baseball, golf, bowling, shooting, boat racing, tennis and more! Each mini game can be played by yourself or up to three other friends and it is fully customizable. The mini games are a lot of fun and add lots of replay value. It's like you are getting several games for the price of one! The game is challenging for adults and good for kids because there is no blood or real violence in the game. Get it today!
