I like this game!

While the two player mode is rather limited, the rest of the game is cool. I like the differnt places in the game even though the graphics are only ok. The game is fast and it makes my Dad dizzy. The four teams have differnt abilities which make each level vary in difficulty. Overall, a great experience.

Exceptional platform quality

Sonic heroes is a graceful and excellent attempt at combining adventure, speed, exploration, and it cleverly destroys repetition in the process.

The game's base is simple. You can take control of 4 teams, team sonic, team dark, team rose, and team chaotix. This is where the game truly shines, the 4 different teams give sonic heroes a sense of replayability unlike any game before it. Games like jak and Daxter, Super mario sunshine, and voodoo vince really don't have anything on this game in terms of replayabality.

However, instead of stopping there, sonic team decided to make the levels truly brilliant. The levels are different, vigrant and alive. THe fact that this is a non stop thrill ride through picure perfect levels completely rocks.

It is sad, though, that the minor problems from this game garnered bad reviews from bigger magazines and .coms. For instance, falling through levels is a bad glitch in the game. It will piss you off, the targeting system also goes wacko alot of the time. 90% of the time this isn't a problem but be noted, this isn't a perfect bugless title.

Anything else that sucks? Ya, the voices, nolstalgia for kids and fans of the show but another degrading element.

DO the bugs and the voices make this a bad game? No, the multiple gameplay styles and awesome experience shouldn't be left out. If you buy one game this year it should be this one, it really hits gold.

This is excactly how i wanted this game to be like. Super speed, super sound, super graphics, gameplay, super heros! A bunch of levels. There are four teams to choose from, each team with their own difficulty level and missions. THere are about 10-12 missions for each team, and each team has their own special team move, (Team sonics is my favorite.) PLus! the missions aren't that hard, and arent that easy, so it will take u a fare amount of time to beat them, but it isn't overly frustrating, like most games are now a days. Dispose of all of the lousy reviews of this game, their just being fussy, this is the real review for this game. Go Sonic!

2 heros r better than 1 & 3 heros r better than 2

Sonicheros was different... i mean, there was no chao garden and there wasnt a movie clip after every stage like in sonic adventur 2 battle. i was pretty surprised when amy got her own team, shes usually running along with sonic and buds (though shes still annoying sonic, dont worry!;) team dark was very challanging, but they mad e the stages fun enough you woundnt stop playing until you beet it. my bro thinks team chaotix was really fun, probably because it had different missions like destroying all enimies in a stage or collecting 10 bingo chips. every team follows the same stages in the same order and the same thing goes with tthe bosses ( except when teams are fighting each other like t. rose vs. t. sonic or chaotix vs. dark). Even though this was tottally differnt from other sonic games it was really fun! Hope this was helpful!

Should Be Sweet!

This game is shaping up to be awesome. The Xbox version will be the ultimate verison of the 3, as it features better graphics and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound.

Gameplay wise, the 3-character play should be very cool and I am looking forward to playing as the classic team chaotix.

It is kind of annoying that the Gamecube version will be out 3 weeks before this one, but at least Sega is bringing this title to Xbox and PS2 (realizing that the cube isn't worth supporting do to its small market share). I suspect that future realeases will only come to PS2 and Xbox, as most other publishers are opting to do.

It is exciting to see Sonic finally reaching the vast audience he has deserved for such a long time.

nice game based on the old school

overall a pretty good game. different teams to choose from give you slightly different types of game play.
most spin offs are horrible to the fans of the oldschool versions, but this was fun.
some really tricky areas, like most games, but eventually you'll see the secret in getting past it
:)

Perfect! (for us kids)

There is lots of stuff in this game. This game has 4 teams, each one for different people. If you are a little kid (about 8 or 9), and are a beginner, team rose has this. If you like puzzles, try team chaotix. If you like intense speed action, team sonic is good (he can run faster than cars in need for speed!). If you like intense battles, and if you are an expert that likes hard games, try team dark. Also, this game has lots of secrets, like secret paths (if you turn the camera up or around, you might find a surprise!). This game has a challenge mode, which is really fun. Give this game a chance. Even you'll pass all the story modes, you might find a secret!
