First off, I'd like to say that I'm actually thirteen. I don't have an e-mail address, but I use my dad's sometimes. Now let's get started.
Don't get me wrong-except for a few flaws, Halo 2 is a great game. Let's look at the flaws first.
Flaws
1. The whole thing with the prophets was kind of stupid in my opinion. It really wasn't like the first Halo.
2. Playing as an Elite is kind of cool, but it gets kind of boring after a while not being Masterchief. Also, it's hard too tell who's on your team and who's not.
3. The pistol! The pistol (or magnum as it's called in Halo 2) was so great in the first Halo, but now you can't even snipe with it. A dissapointment.
4. I was expecting to have almost all of the levels in the city, but no! There are maybe FOUR levels in the city! FOUR!
5. I'm not even going to say what the end was like.
Now for the good stuff.
1. Most of the Campaign was good. The levels in the city were so awesome.
2. The graphics were incredible. Better than in the first Halo.
3. Improved rocket launcher.
4. Dual wielding is kind of cool. The only problem is you can't throw grenades while holding both guns, and you have to let go of one of the guns to smack.
5. New guns: Battle Rifle, SMG, Brute Shot, and more. Also, the Energy sword is SO awesome, especially in Multiplayer.
6. The multiplayer is incredible. Some of the levels, like Zanzibar, Midship, and the first and last ones on the list are really fun.
Overall: 4.5/5.0
BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is awesome. The second half of the campaign stunk but multiplayer makes up for that.Great A.I. .The big proplem is that there's only one new warthog instead of five canged second level.Fir st wouldh've been better.bUT SOMETHING WRONG IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT.
Fun, but not better than Half-Life 2.

I only have a few problems with this game:
1) How does Master Chief jump 10 feet in the air? :P
2) Takes a few seconds to load textures (Not a huge problem, but come on.)
3) The mute on XBoxLive doesn't work (I don't know if this is a problem with XboxLive or the game.)
4) The multi player on XBL can get repetative, but as long as you have friends that play it daily it's fine.
Hey Bungie..you call that an ending??

If you liked Halo, you'll like this one. The developers took a different approach in the presentation. In the first Halo going from level to level seemed more seemless..the story line unfolded in front of you instead of having cut scenes..which is what the new Halo does. Not a bad thing..just different. I do think the game was short..it wouldn't have bothered me so badly if it had a more proper ending. I won't give anything away, but I think I vocally said "That's It?" after the last level...which in no way felt like a final level. But it was fun while it lasted.
What happened?

They advertised:
>>Better control: sprint at twice normal speed, peek around corners, chain melee attacks into devastating combos<<
What happened? Also, what happened to the scenes that were in the E3 preview that weren't in the game? Did they decide to chop it in half so we would not have to wait as long for a sequel?
Good, but not great. I enjoy Halo much more.
To be continued...

While quite enjoyable while it lasted, this game felt a lot like one of those Dukes of Hazard episodes where the picture freeze frames on the General Lee in mid flight and the intoning country twang says "To be continued"... i.e., a fun ride that ends in a mixture of disappointment and expectation. I was utterly surprised, and unfulfilled, when the game ended, expecting that I had at least a few more hours of entertainment ahead of me. Alas, this game felt far shorter than the first incarnation, and while the greater array of weapons (the power sword being a particular favorite) was nice, ultimately patience was the best new weapon--i.e., half the time you could let the Flood and the Covenant just kill each other off and traipse through the scene only having to maul a couple grunts. In the end, the game play was enjoyable, but there was just not enough of it. My guess is that there is probably more to be had with the online version, but if you don't have time for that, you may be better off renting the game if you can dedicate a long weekend and save your moolah for what will hopefully be a longer and more intricate sequel.
BEST GAME EVER CREATED!!!

So many people try to be different and cool by saying "eh, what's the big deal about this game?" Those losers just want to be "unique" and different from everyone else - they are wrong. Halo 2 is so beautiful and it made me cry. The first level/cinematic is amazing. After playing this game you are going to want to buy the soundtrack. Audio quality is impeccable - music and effects. Each material you shoot with your gun makes a different sound. I have gone through the campaign about three times - it never gets boring. In the campaign you are Master Chief and an Elite who is trying to find the true purpose of Halo. You wield many new weapons and have the option of dual wielding. The energy sword pwns. Multiplayer is also amazing. You can customize your player and create custom maps. I would give this game a 9.7/10. Buy it. This is not something an XBOX owner wants, it is something an XBOX owner NEEDS! Buy it fool.

This a a great game. That is if you dont expect to beat it on Legendary. I beat on normal and beat the last level on legendary to see if there was an alterneate ending like the first game. Well there isnt but the point of this is to exprees the severe anger , annoyance, and hatred I feel toward this game on legendary. It is not possible to get past the cairo level on legendary, I have spent a week yes one week on the Cairo station and cant beat it on Legendary. The 2nd hanger is impossible, I have literally spent well over ten hours dying and respawning on how to beat this part and have failed every time. I have yet to even come close. I love this game but If I ever saw the designers Id kick them in the balls repeatedly, I takes all the fun outta this game. WHo wants to spent two weeks beating one level. Replay value should be where its at but when you have to skip around the damn game to play levels you can beat well that sucks. Legendary sucks. Took me 3 hours to beat the last level on legendary. Plasma weapons are the only way to even get close. Great game, buy it, love it, play it to death, but dont expect legendary like the first Halo which was still a breeze. Expect to cuss, scream, be distempered and throw your controller at least a dozen times.
Good but not the same as the first

Don't get me wrong, Halo 2 is a great game but there were a few things which didn't quite live up to the hype. First, the single player looks a little thrown together. Also they tried to make the covenant seem more lifelike by making them speak english, instead of what they were saying in the first game. One more thing I wanted to bring out was about the ending which most people think stunk. All Bungie was doing was setting Halo 3 up. I have no doubts that this game was made for multiplayer which is most of the reason I gave it 4 stars. The multiplayer was almost completely redone. Most of the maps are new but a few return such as Blood Gulch(Coagulation) and Battle Creek(Beaver Creek). And another thing that improved multiplayer are the things that you can choose to be on the map such as vehicles, starting weapons, and weapons on the map. There is also a better variety of weapons on the map. The only thing I really miss from this game is the pistol. Well, the pistol returns but it is a different, less powerful version which is in most cases useless by itself. All in all this was a good multiplayer game but I would still go Halo 1 for single player.
Definately game of the year for 2004

Let me just get the bad parts out of the way first. Yes, the game is too short again. On normal mode you can beat it within 10-15 hours so I recommend starting on Heroic for those of you who are familiar with Halo: Combat Evolved. Yes, the ending does suck and leaves you hanging, but as everyone should know almost all game endings suck. Yes, there are graphical popups during the cut scenes though doesn't subtract from the experience.
I've had this game since the hottest day of the year (Nov 9 of course) so hear are the pluses. The graphics are awesome. You owe it to yourself to pick up an HDTV set. Everything is smooth, hardly any jagged edges are visible. Animation is superb. The sound is superior even to the first Halo which is saying a lot. This game definately has the best soundtrack on any video game. Martin O' Donnell nailed another one. The music is real emotional and really gets you into the action. The story is pretty much the same situation as in the first. Another Halo ring is discovered and the Covenent want to use it for absolute power. A bigger cast of characters has been added as well such as the Covenent brutes, prophets, Capt. Keyes' daughter and more. More vehicles and weapons have been added. You can now drive the Covenent Wraith which is pretty cool. The new alien weapons are fun to use. Now the shotgun has a matcher on the Covenent side. Can you say "energy sword"? The sword is absolutely cheap but fun. The Covenent Carbine is excellent in close quarters and medium range as well. The beam rifle is probably better than the human sniper rifle because it holds 20 shots right off the bat and if you shoot slow enough you never have to reload it. One last thing...the gameplay is non-stop action to the end. Now...on to the multiplayer.
I just reached level 13 on team slayer and it takes a huge amount of skill to gain levels. It is good to know a lot of people online because if you join team slayer optimatch by yourself you could be stuck with some real crappy teammates. There are some extremely cheap players online who like to talk an unbelievable ammount of trash when they kill someone with an energy sword or vehicle. All I have to say to them is try killing me you coward POS. Lag is normally not an issue because most games only allow a maximum of 8 players. The only 2 game types that are available to 16 players are Big Team Battle and Major Clan match. Those 2 types can create tremendous lag at times and they are both ranked types so it can p*ss you off at times when you die from lag. Bungie needs to hurry up and make more maps because the included ones are getting old. Also, when playing team slayer it seems like there are 3 or 4 maps that are played too much - Ivory Tower, Midship, Ascension and Burial Mounds. The maps that are too few selected in optimatch are Foundation, Lockout and Zanzibar. I don't know 1 person that likes Midship and it is almost selected the most. Whoever gets the sword in Midship practically wins so it really is gay.
Well, all said and done Halo 2 is the cream of the crop FPS online experience. If you have an XBOX, a tv and a highspeed internet connection then you must own Halo 2.
