GO AND BUY IT NOW!

Well I'll make it short for you, buy it now. Yes, it is too hard but you do get used to it even though it gets harder every time you get better. I, myself, have never found a game that I can't beat in 4 days (about 15 hours.) However, this game really challenged me. That made it even better for me. Anyone really good at games will love this a lot more than someone who can't beat simple ones. Really, it's good for everyone though, so buy it if you have some spare cash.

Pretty unique game. I like the storyline. The game play is different. The graphics are pretty good. The music is pretty good. Not a bad purchase.

I know this game isn't the best out there but i liked it. Nobody can say the story was pretty cool and the game was fun to play itself

Not quite a classic, but worth your time

Breakdown's graphics have managed to stand the test of time, although the gameplay is a bit dated. The story is pretty straightforward, but the few plot twists made the game quite interesting. It is a bit on the difficult side and requires some skill to beat the harder parts. The real selling point is the cheap price, at 4.99 + shipping it's a steal.

This game is playable on both Xbox and Xbox 360.

Trespasser Revisited

This is a reivew i'm going to have my spline ripped out for, but BREAKDOWN is NOT That original or impressive. What it does get credit for, is reintroducing Trespasser.

Four years ago a game was released for the PC called Jurassic Park Trespasser. It was hailed as one of the worst games of all times because instead of the run and gun FPS that we were all used to, it offered a clunky and slow going First person experiance game. And it is also no secret that most people's rigs could no where NEAR handle the wattage this baby was pumping. Trespasser though, was a very good game. It was deep, immersive, and has more SQ Milage than EQ did at that time. Plus the usage of dinosaurs with the JP license was brilliant.

So we now have BREAKDOWN. Tespasser mixed with HalfLife and FF The movie. Is it good? Graphically, yes. It's immersive and makes you feel as though you are in the action. The generic Soda for health being one thing. But if these years since TR have come out have taught us ANYTHING, is that adventure gameplay is best in 3rd person views due to being able to see your hole body. Also, the game does not really leave the main complex unless you're headed towards Nexus. So over all, rent this first to see if you'll like it. Then by all means buy it.

Gonna hate it

This game is too long. Just when you think that you've beat it, another 10 to 20 hrs of play is added. Fighting umpteen monsters in first person is rather tiresome and when you are able to defeat them all, you know that it is luck. I must say this is about the worst game i've ever played

Welcome Surprise!!

After reciving this game in the mail and nearly beating it after a straight week of play I really think this first person puncher could start a new trend for the better! The controols though sticky at first get much easier to use as new abilities are granted to you.
The graphics are top of the line and suttle details like rusteling leaves under your feet and nearly perfect shading for all objects give a sence that you are really inside of the head of the character.
The story is enticing and compeling and comes at you from no where. The game seems dull and acts like a normal game untill your execution is upon you then out of no where your partner Alex some how jumps out of thin air, saves you, then vanishes again! Though it has no multiplayer ability, this game just might pave to way for more hand to hand FPS games...It is a very exciting game that I highly recomed to all people who like Halo, Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil.

it is the best game i have played

How counterintuitive can you get?

The first moment i realized i wasn't going to like this game was the first time i tried to pick up an extra clip of ammo. While i am being shot at, my character calmly picks up the clip and proceeds to stare at it and examine it in his hand, WHILE I AM BEING SHOT AT. Its the general counterintuitive nature of things like that in this game that really bothered me, moreso than anything else. Why would they institute an overly complicated mess of auto targeting with weaponry instead of having your normal point and fire crosshairs? Why why why?!? Yes this game has a few 'immersive' moments, and yes it COULD have been something great, but quite frankly i couldnt get beyond the rank stupidity of the way shooting is done, and the frustration caused when you die because your character seems to be oh so much more interested in looking at an extra clip of ammo than the fact that he is getting shot.
