Only game in my PSP for 2 months now

If you like yu-gi-oh then there is no way you won't love this game. Thousands of cards to collect, hundreds of people to duel, it is great. I was actually worried that the "classroom" part would be boring, but it is very brief and meant to only act as a tutorial for beginners.

I also have a second PSP and duel wirelessly against people constantly. I actually bought a second PSP and a second copy of this game, it's that good! You can have up to 8 customized decks to choose from before a duel, you can use side decks, it is very responsive and very entertaining.

The best part is the game enforces the **rules** so there is no debating over the wording of a card.

Great game for Yugi fans, plain and simple.

quite cool

Now, I was not into Yu-gi-Oh until my student starting teaching and telling me about this card game. So after hearing his stories over and over, it peaked my interest. Once you understand about how it works, the world just opens up! I have been playing this game for the past two months! I can't stop! There are so many cards and combinations that it really keep you into the game and wanting to build better and better decks! Also, in Japan, there are two Yu-gi-oh TV shows(anime) and if you watch the show and play the game you can get ideas and put various combinations together! I can't wait to buy Tag Force Two!
Oh, you can also download the lastest cards and updates.

cons

- you get access to none of the good cards. you more or less get all junk cards.

- the game uses its own bann list. not just an out dated one form real life but its own list. lots of banned cards like dark hole, tribe infecting virus, cyber jar. you can use only 1 reflect bounder and can use 3 of a spell card that i forgot the name of that remove your face down from play and any copies in either players deck. all in all it uses cards that eitehr a. were banned before the game came out or ones that have been banned forever like dark hole. and you can only use 1 lightning vortex (guess that i good since you would not have access to it till who knows when).
- the opponents decks are pre programmed. they always do the same moves first turn. and same cards always same turns. like opponents will play that spell (that removes it and all copies from both players decks from play) the first time you set a monster no matter if it is first turn or not and no matter who it is. tell me how you can dual someone that only has is supposed to have only 1 reflect bounder and summons it his first turn ever time no matter how often you dual him.
- the tag dualing is not tag dualing. just 2 people controler 1 field and each have a deck. on show each tag partner had his own field.
- tag partners are dumb and do not play cards that can maybe save you from losing. jaden had a cyber jar in his hand since first turn and never played it and we lost because of that.
- a monster can attack on a players turn and then attack again on thier tag partners turn.
- no story. just have 90 days till tag tournment.

pros

- most of the cards we curently have in real life.
- lots of people to dual.
- the lab

if you want to stick to non real tag dualing and dumb partners that do not know what they are doing and dual only reds and a few yellows that do not have pratecally every limited card in game in thier deck and that suck. be my guest! gets old when all the yellows and especially all the blue use all the are limited on the game which half are banned. and use same cards and the same times. if you want a good game get spirit caller for the ds. it may not have cards like king dragun but it follows the tv show and uses a list that was released in real life and not its own list like tag force. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!

Bad Yugi Game

Load time is simply unacceptable. Its a fun game, but the load time for every single action takes way way too long. Its the standard game, but the game goes at a snail's pace.

better than decent

To start off, let me begin by stating that I am 32 years old, and I still love playing this game.

I believe this particular game was put together very well. My only gripe matches another reviewers in the lack of online play. I was glad to see that problem corrected in "GX 2".

I've heard some complain of the load times. I don't really see where the problem is concerning that; the "load times" are only before and between duels, not during them. A perfect time to plan a 'strategy' for the match.

Way Fun

Ok so i read a few review and went on youtube to check out some game play and i fell in love with the game. At first the game is hard cuz you dont have such a good deck but later on when you buy boosterpacks you can put cards in your deck to make it better. The anaimation gets kind of annoying if youve been playing for a while and you wanna duel fast but its still a way good game. This is the best YuGiOh game i have ever played im just woundering if theres a place in the game where i can go to put codes in so i can get the cards i want faster. If you dont have a PSP this game is worth getting a PSP for.

I was very pleased to see a genuine up grade in the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise with this title. Tag Force does a good job of recreating the feel of the cartoon, while serving up the hottest card playing I have seen in a YuGiOh title. The A.I. is much improved in this game. I was shocked to find that it was even better than "Ultimate Masters" for the GBA. To top it off the number of cards(2400+) is staggering. I knocked off a star because of no online gameplay (thankfully it is online with Spirit Caller).

Let me also say that I am 33 years old and absolutely love this game. The strategy and complexity of this game makes poker look lame. Yu-Gi-Oh is not just a kids game, and I recommend it to any adult who can deal with more depth than shoot the bad guy and look for health.
