A great game so far. Would have gotten 5 stars, but I despise the sniper missions that they should have let die with Lockdown, esp. combined with the freelock. Freelock gets truly annoying on the sniper missions. Awesome graphics for a handheld.

Good, but not great

Game is good and fun while it lasts, but it is very short. Very worthy portable adaptation of the real game on Home consoles, but it is not quite in the same league as it's big brothers.

This game has a realy good story mode but it very short and is easy to complete, I completed story mode in a day, after completing it it will become boring, so i keep on starting again and again. Id say graphics aren't so good in movies but in gameplay they are much better. I would recomend this game to people who like shooting games, there isnt alot of blood and goory stuff apart from 1 moovie, (do not watch it if u dont like gooryness). Last ofall i think its worth buying and gives you something to do.

Terrible!

The only good thing about this game is the ok online play. The campain is terrible, short and boring. Spend your money on syphon filter, socom or gta. This game has terrible graphics as well.

Overall a BIG waste [...]

For a PSP game this one is very nicely done. The controls and everything works so nicely together.

Freelook got on my bad side now and then but hey it works out

a good choice for a lower price

i picked this game up at a EB 2 days ago and beat it after 3 hours and 4 deaths (normal mode). Now this aside i had a blast playing this game. The core game play was solid due to the fact its runs the Unreal Engine. Game play Graphics were a solid meh. nothing great in the model area but lighting on the models was very good and the night vision while useless indoors if you are in a car or out by the sun makes it very visible. also the movie sequences are BEAutiful and the voice overs are always present from briefing to the middle of the action .now in a review above me they say that there are no cool extra weapons. this is fully untrue at the beginning of every mission (not sub mission.)there is a gear room option where you can pick out your favorites from 20 weapons for both characters (including breaching charge and c4.). And all the weapons function differently so that depending on the mission a switch is a good idea. Now this game has infrastructure play but don't depend on it the maps are giant, normally this would be good but with a max of 4 players i spent most of the time franticly running around lost than shooting. but the client system was nice showing me all the matches with the number of players map and game type on the side of the screen. also you can check and see how you rank overall against all the other players. this game has a friends list to see who you know is online but there is no way to communicate so making friends is rather pointless other than to check if the best are online, if you are for some reason looking for a friend my handle is BINOPANDA. Now back to shortness yes this game is to darn short but the multiple game play modes; story, mission(pick and play portions of the story out of order.)Terro hunt (yes terro any way its just run through the maps KETM.). The last thing i have to say about this is that there are 3 difficulty modes, normal (lots of health and dumb enimies.),Hard (smart enimies and lots of health.), and Elite (smart enemies low health.)

P.S. the game has "rewards" you can earn but they are no more than 15 hand drawn pictures of the levels (seem to have been drawn after and thrown in after for this purpose. rent it beat it if you like it buy it (im going to trade it in, in a while towards Metal Gear Portable Ops) so if you want a good shooter for the psp starwars battle front takes the cake it can even be played in 3rd and 1st point of view.

A Great First Person Shooter For Your PSP

Rainbow Six Las Vegas for the PSP is a great game but still very different from the consol version. True, first person shooters are usually pretty different on handheld systems anyway, but Rainbow Six Las Vegas on the PSP does a nice job of recreating the excitement that one would get by playing the consol version.

The game-play, sound effects and music are really well done. The graphics are okay, but I only say this because I'm use to playing Las Vegas on my Xbox 360 in High Definition. Obviously no comparison, but needless to say, the graphics are adequate.

Story Mode is very well done. You switch between two characters throughout the game which is pretty cool. This gives you the feeling as if you're playing with someone else, but really it's just you switching between two different characters. Story mode has a lot of the great features that I though for sure wouldn't make it to the PSP. For example, the snake cam is still there. Night vision as well, however thermal isn't. You still have frags and flash bangs but that's it. There is no tear gas, C4, breaching charges or other cool devices to use. Just your primary weapon, handgun, frag and flash. This goes for multi-player as well.

Multi-Player is a lot of fun, and this is (in my opinion) the reason to go out and buy this game. There's AD Hoc and Infrastructure which allows you to play with others around you or online. Game modes include survival and team survival, (Max four players). There are also six levels to choose from and all of them are a lot of fun to play.

A few people have commented on Freelook. This is the ability to lock yourself onto a wall or crate, so that you can see what's on the other side. The consol versions have this as well. The reason that Freelook is a pain on the PSP is due to the fact that you have to run into whatever it is that you want to "lock to". This gets really annoying because sometimes you just accidently bump into things, which throws you into the Freelook view more often than you want.

Overall, this is a great game and I highly recommend it.
