i did like this game a whole lot, because out of all the other rollercoaster and themepark designing games this one gave you freedom, and creativity. although the graphics were shaky, the overall fun was good.

This game is NOT backwards compatable with the Xbox 360. If you dont own a regular xbox, you will be wasting your money.

Thrillville...

There is a lot of stuff to do in Thrillville. Minigolf, Go-Karts, shooting arenas, etc. The only problem is none of the stuff is fun to do. Go-karts handle very bad, and the shooting arenas are boring, mainly because they have tricky controls. Designing a roller coaster is a hassle, especially since there too many restrictions. You have to build the ride in a small amount of space, meaning that it'll be a short ride. The graphics aren't that bad, it's just that they could have been WAY better. You can talk to the guests, and ask them how the park could be better. That's probably the only thing you would wanna talk to them about. All you can tell them are weird facts and other boring stuff. The talking system could have been way better as well. The story is probably engaging to some, however at times it feels too rushed and goofy. Thrillville is a mediocre game mainly because of it's main elements. Don't buy this game and waste your money, even if you like anything with roller coasters. Get Roller Coaster Tycoon instead. I'm glad I just rented it.

Pick Up and Go

Looking for a great game that you can just pick up and go, then Thrillville is the game for you.

In Thrillville you are taking over park operations for your uncle while he is recouperating. Whats great about Thrillville is that when you first turn it on you are thrown right into the action. Thrillville is based on missions rather than reform park building(you have to place certain rides and concessions in predetermined areas.) Other than that it is great. You can build your own rides and then ride them, there are mini games that you have to play to earn money and earn respect from your park patrons. Another great aspect is the interaction with guest, all the way down to flirting with them, then becomeing them and then flirting with others.
Overall if you are looking for a great rollercoaster sim game on a handheld(the only one) then this is definitely for you. Some of the aspects of RCT3 and many orginal ones are all packed into this great PSP game.

It's ~OK~

You start off by choosing the character you'd like to play, and then after a short interactive tutorial you're off and running at attempting to manage your own theme park. You are given missions to complete in order to unlock more theme parks. Rides are either premade, which your character can purchase, or can be custom built in build mode. Your character can also ride the rollercoasters. There are also other attractions and food/service stalls that can be added to your park. Teen characters can flirt with other teen park guests and can play matchmaker.

Park finances are managed by you, and you must decide how much to spend, borrow, or invest into marketing, research, hiring and training staff, etc. There's a lot to keep track of.

The rock, rap, and other music in the game at first is great, but it gets somewhat annoying when it plays over and over and over again while you're trying to concentrate on playing the game. I had my character running for the nearest mini-game gateways just to give myself breaks from the obnoxious rap music (I hate rap). The mini-games' music scores are more arcade style. If there's a way to turn the music off, or down without effecting the rest of the gameplay sounds, I have yet to find it.

Some of the mini-games are fun, some I had no clue as to what the object of the mini-game was. The controls on a few were odd, too. All of them are arcade-style that can be played repeatedly in both park management mode and party play mode. You start off with access to a few of them, and then gradually unlock more mini-games as you progress through the game.

Chatting with the park guests is, well, I can only think of one word to describe it..."Strange!" The topics given to choose from are off the wall and there's no fluidity to the conversations.

I think this one is way overpriced so I'm only giving it 3 stars.

An amazing PSP game!

I had already had this game for PS2 but when I bought a PSP, I decided to buy it for the PSP as well. I was worried that it wouldn't be as fun as the PS2 game but, thankfully, I was wrong.

So what's this game all about? You play as a theme park manager. You must run the park, build rides, maintain them, and complete missions in order to move onto the next park. The missions are in 5 different categories (build, games, upkeep, business, and guests). Although the missions are the main part of the game, there are plenty of other fun things you can do with this game. You're allowed to ride the actual rides, play mini-games, chat with your guests, train your employees, and so much more.

The graphics on this game are awesome. The different sections of the theme park are so cool (themes include dinosaurs, ogres, wild west, and more). It's easy to maneuver your character around. The minigames are not hard to play in terms of using the PSP buttons. The sound isn't annoying. I've had this game for about a week and I play everyday without a bit of boredom. If you like rollercoaster type games or simulation games, buy this. You won't regret it.

This is one heck of a game!

If you like building rollercoaster's or like simulator games than this game is for you. Thrillville is a game were you build your own theme park and can buy games and rides for your park, or even design your own! You can interact with your customers and see what they think about your park. And if you really like rollercoaster's you can even ride them! The graphics are pretty good and the music isn't actually annoying. To tell you the truth the music is actually played as it would be on an actual radio station which changes as you change parks. This game is really great and i would recommend it for anyone.

I was always a big fan of theme park games. I loved the idea of being able to do so. When I bought my PSP, I was lookin for games that I would have fun playing, and that would kill some time as well. I came across this game, and I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. But this game didn't disappoint me. Not only can I create my own park, but I can play games, ride the rides, and interact with the customers! This game is hours of fun, and I enjoy it everytime I turn it on. Definitely a great game to have, if you like havin fun while killin some time!

I love this game!

This game has so much to do, it's unreal. Yet everything is so real, you manage the park in every way including advertising, marketing, and research. It teaches people how to handle money better I think.
