This is 2008 technology??

Unless you have a LOT of time on your hands for waiting, and enjoy looking at hourglasses, say, every minute, don't bother. Very disappointed in this product. As was mentioned in another review, this system is not cheap. Shame on the creators for slapping this together. What is even more frustrating is it COULD have been a good game.

The Sims Busting Out 2?

This game is very similar to The Sims Busting Out. Maybe they should have called it, I don't know... maybe: The Sims Busting Out 2?

Anyway, it is okay if you want an adventure, but if you like to design houses and burn them down, this is not the game you think it is.

Also, I have read a LOT of posts about CRASHES and LONG LOAD TIMES. I have a PSP Slim and the load times are acceptable. And there are NO crashes whatsoever. I am using OFFICIAL FIRMWARE 3.90

Don't use UNNOFICIAL FIRMWARE and cry about crashes and poor performance KIDS. Sony may be behind on making a public API for home brewers and offering Flash 9 support but that does not motivate me to replace my PSP's operating system and void my two-year replacement plan.

I do wish the PSP would dump RAM states/swaps/caches to my 8GB *brag* memory stick so it would not have to reload reoccurring dialogs and sequences. UMD caching seems to make no difference. I do hope it is device as to not rely on the game being designed to use the new feature.
...And it would be fun to be able to play The Sims 2 online.

To sum it up, the only major complaint I have about this game is the misleading title. I am under the impression that if I beat the game, there will be nothing left to do but maybe play again and choose different story paths. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe when you get through the first part, which seems to be like King's Quest when it comes to gameplay, I get some freedom but I doubt it.

Very fun, very slow.

Now, don't get me wrong. This is coming from a HUGE Sims fan. I think the gameplay in this game is very much fun, and the graphics are very good. I CAN'T stand the loading times. I think they should have gotten some of the bugs out before selling it. Oh, well, still an OK game. ;).

Sims2 Review for PSP

This wasn't exactly what I expected it to be. I thought that the PSP Sims2 game was just like the PC game for Sims2. It was more like an adventure game raather than the "daily life" of the Sims characters.

Game okay but a little confusing and boring

The Sims 2 is all about figuring out where to go. This game has a lot less towns then you would think, only 4!!! it is really hard to keep your sanity meter from running low and after i finished it i realized it would be hard to play over since i already knew where everything is. i would'nt recommend to people who like to play things over but overall i would probably give it a 75 out of 100.

boring

Sims 2 for the PSP is great, but can be annoying

I love this game, but it has some annoying parts to it. When you get scared, your sanity meter goes down, and it happens a lot. When you go to different neighborhoods, all your "emergencies" go down. In some parts you have to go from one neighborhood to another and everything goes down quickly.
I love the story line, all the interactions, the different facial features that aren't incorporated in the regular SIMS 2 for the PC.
I highly recommend this game for the PSP.
I bought this game for my 13 year old daughter who dictated this review to me.

Disappointment

I love the Sims and I love playing them. But, all of those versions was for my PC. I really thought I wouldn't have a problem...especially if it's being released for the PSP. This low-grade (but great graphics) game really didn't go anywhere interesting...which was funny because it was almost as if the Sims creators just slopped this on and sold it "as is". Not to mention every major move or choice I made was a pause in the game with the off-black blank screen that said "loading" in the top corner. Not even the original Sims didn't do that...and I was playing with my old computer at the time.

The PSP is a great system that does not come cheap. You would think with all of the positive hype with the Sims collection over the years and the PSP that *someone* would actually take their time and preventing this!
I hope they come out with the better version with the Sims in the future if they want to be successful with the PSP crowds. Other than that, I'm staying away until it's changed.
