ok, so this game a been getting really bad reviews by a bunch of people who apear to not have actually played it. all the bad reviews can basically be summed up as "i thought this game was gonna be like this other game i played/saw, but its not, so it sucks". wow does that make you sound foolish. if you want to play grand theft auto, why dont you play it? dont knock this game cause its not a clone. christ. if you read the reviews from the folks that actually played it, the are pretty much all good. honestly, i thought it was gonna be a run-around-and-kill people game too when i bought it, but after i got into it and figured it out, i found it to be a whole lot of fun. i was disapointed when i discovered that you dont personally control the battles, but eventually i found that you do control the battles; its just not as obvious as "push this button repeatedly to shoot and kill everybody". it requires a little more thinking, planning, and strategy (hence "strategy game"). so overall, this is not what i (or apperently anybody) expected, but if you actually give it a chance, its pretty %$#@%& fun

So bad- the most boring game I have ever played- EVER! After thinking I was starting the game in the wrong mode- I tried everything on the menu- this IS like a board game- believe the other reviews. Awful! Amazon must have the wrong description up because you can control nothing at all.

Discontent!!!!!

This is my first time writing a review and I'm just doing it to warn people not to but this game Its not like the ps2 version its completely boring, tedious and uninteresting.
This is a total disappointment I was really looking forward to play it.
SO far the worst game I've played in psp.

I paid 40 bucks for this game and you can't do anything with it. All you ever do is pick different turfs for fake people to go out and shoot at each other, but you the player can do NOTHING. Major waste of money.

Pretty good STRATEGY game.

First of all, potential buyers/renters need to understand that this is NOT a shooting game by any means. It's entirely strategy with a Scarface spin to it. It has all the grit of the film, but you don't get to pull the trigger in this version. I actually thought that was a good thing because I've grown quite tired of the mindless shooting games that flood the market these days. I purchased this game right after I completed The Godfather: Mob Wars since I loved the strategy aspect of that game. When I purchased Scarface I was hoping that the strategy aspect of the game would be as addicting as the one I experienced while playing The Godfather: Mob Wars, and it was!! If you like strategy games please give this game a shot. It's been ripped to shreds in so many reviews by those who did not do their research and bought it thinking that it was another GTA spin off. This game is NOTHING like GTA and is mostly strategy with a little bit of turned-based action, but it is a very addicting game once you get into it. The game is pretty easy to understand thanks to a well executed tutorial mission and is pretty straight forward from there. If you're a fan of the film and you enjoy light strategy games you should enjoy this game a lot. Happy gaming!

A different kind of game.

This game overall is fun. It is not a first person shooter. Instead it is a strategy game based on the movie in the story mode. There is a lot of cursing which makes it entertaining and each time you complete a scene it unlocks a movie clip. You can basically watch the entire movie. Overall not bad.
