A great puzzle game and a big improvement over the first "Mercury". Many great levels, minigames. Even the way the level selection works is nice: The levels are represented as little test tubes, when you finish a level the amount of mercury left is shown in the tube. If you manage to save all the mercury, a cork closes the tube. If you also get all the specials and make the high-score, the cork is golden...
For Puzzle lovers !!! a must have!

If you enjoyed the first Mercury game, then you'll love Mercury Meltdown twice !
Also if you like puzzle genre and love to solve puzzles you will get engaged with this game.
Mercury meltdown takes the formula from the original Mercury and improved the game play, add new elements, and created a new graphic engine based on cartoon like graphics!
Great fun that taxes your PSP abilities

I discovered this game long after its release. I had never played Mercury, so it was a new experience for me. And a great one! I highly recommend you pick up this title, which offers a lot of bang for the buck.
The game is very difficult and taxes your patience at times. But it makes solving levels that much more rewarding. Some levels I still feel are impossible, but it keeps me coming back to keep trying. There are eight stages with 16 levels in each stage (and some bonus levels). Once I hit the fourth stage I didn't expect to go any further because the levels were so difficult. But I finally managed to unlock every stage, which was a great feeling. The nice part is you don't have to solve every level to unlock the next stage -- you just have to save a certain overall percentage of mercury on your current stage.
Even after you've solved a level, you can go back and try to beat the top score, save more mercury or grab more bonuses. The replay value is phenomenal. There are also some fun mini games that will help pass the time, but the meat is solving actual puzzles.
While this is a puzzle game, more of the levels require dexterity than brains to solve. But it's a lot of fun and a game that gets my stamp of approval. I have a lot of games and this is one of the few that keeps me coming back time and time again. For the price you can buy it at today, it's well worth the money and will keep you entertained (and sometimes frustrated) for hours.
OK for a while

Interesting concept, but not enough to hold my interest. Goes from very easy to very difficult very quickly. I found myself just trying to solve the puzzles sitting there in the time alloted to complete the puzzle. By the end, it was impossible, I would play the same level over 50 times before giving up. However, the game was worth picking up, something different and smart. There is some replay value. Buying used is probably worth it.
