This game has little to nothing to do with the original NES title. I think they mistitled this game and should have made it de-evolution. There is just nothing I can say postive about this game, and I am truely dissapointed about that.

The RETURN of Bubble Bobble!!!

For all those gamers that LOVED the old Bubble Bobble, you'll appreciate the new one, Bubble Bobble Evolution! You have much more "play" features, being able to control 2 different charaters independently, and having an aray of different bubbles to work with, yet still keeping all the good stuff that we LOVED from the original Bubble Bobble. It's a great buy!

Not like my old favourite.

I bought this because like many I had Bubble Bobble and Rainbow Islands as a youngster.
I know there have been pseudo-sequels to both of those games that ended up divating greatly from the simple platform, jump, collect and kill that made the game addictive and replayable.
I have a PSP and when I say this was coming I got right in line for my copy.
I understood from the game description there were some differences.
I didn't realise just how many!
The tower idea for both dragons was well thought up, but for hardened gamers like myself who were looking for the spark of the original game I was disappointed.
The game was HARD! It had very little replay value and in the end I gave up.
I'm not sorry I bought it. Just sorry I bought it when it first came out and was full price.
Someone whose never played the originals might enjoy it more.
