what i like the most about this game is the very cool stealth moves that have never been seen before in all the other splintercell games. the graphics are very good too but half the time you cant see the best of them because your in the dark. overall chaos theory is a very good game that is way better than what you pay for it.
Good, but cooperative mode stinks in this version

I have this game for Gamecube but first played it on XBox. The single-player mode is more or less the same, though they shortened levels a bit here and the lighting effects aren't as impressive. The cooperative mode took a major hit, though -- levels are ridiculously short and stupid. I'm very disappointed with that, especially considering that I got a Gamecube because it has more options for multi-player games than the other systems. Still, it's probably the best single-player game for the system, aside from Resident Evil 4.
Absolutely extraordinary

I would highly recommend this to anyone 11-25 years old. It has thebest graphics for gamecube I've ever seen, and it's the only game I have that I'm not bored of yet, besides Perfect Dark, but that's for the Nintendo 64.
Just a few of the features of this amazing piece of work are:
-Good AI
-Interesting ragdoll physics
-Multiple options for the same thing (such as OCP, shooting, or turning off lights, killing or knocking out enemies, etc)
-Creatively designed levels with more than one path
-More than 10 tools used to accomplish your missions
-Primary, secondary, opportunity, and bonus objectives contribute to the replayability
This game is really good for coming back and playing again and again, trying to find secrets, alternate paths, bonus objectves, and trying to raise the mission rating.
This is just undoubtedly one of the best gamecube games out there. Buy it now. NOW.
Amazingly fun... very few flaws

Get this game! I havent played Pandora Tomorrow, but I have played the first game in the series and there is no comparison. complex, challengeing-(spelling?)- missions, awesome stealth kills and knock outs, this game has it all. The controls i found (and am finding still) a little hard, but it is a great game.
The Best

Chaos Theory is the best Splinter Cell game yet. I expect them to get better as they progress. One of the best things about this game is the adrenalin rush you get as you hang from a pipe with your pistol, drawing a bead on your enemy; knowing you may have only one breath left before he turns and sees you.
Another good thing about this game is the length of the missions.
The other two had long missions but save points every twenty feet. In Chaos Theory you can save it when ever you want and the average amount of checkpoints is three (3) per mission.
The videos are also a heck of alot better than the other two and
the plot is so amazing it's hard to get to the bottom of it.
It's nothing like the first game where nothing suprised you because you knew you had to kill Nikoladze and recover the Ark.
But in CT the amount of work put into the story rivals spy movies like the Mission Impossible series.
The graphics are also the best I have ever seen. Everything looks absolutely real not just in the buildings but also outdoors like when you go to wartorn South Korea it actually looks like people have firing missile and dropping bombs into
Seoul.
The single player mode alone is worth the 20 or 30 bucks you'll pay for the game because Sam Fisher is still the best guy out there. You also get training videos where he instructs you on stealth basics, cool moves and fire and movement. In the other two games you only had the SC-20K with stuff like Sticky Shockers and other non-lethal ammo. But in CT you get the Foregrip attachment for use during prolonged fire. You get the Shotgun attatchment which is deadly from anything up to 20 meters or so. Really good for room clearing.
And here is one really bad thing: the scope from the last two games is gone it's been replaced by a 1.5x scope and the only compensation is you get the Sniper attatchment but even that has it's drawbacks because it makes a heck of a loud noise.
The co-op isn't as good as I had hoped because you only get sticky cameras and you SC-20K is single-fire only. But moves like the Tomoe Nage where you throw your partner through the air and he hits your enemy. There isn't any blood even though the ESRB rating says so and the language is no problem.
Nothing you don't hear in school anyway.
So, all in all, this the best game out there at the moment so go ahead and buy it. DON'T rent it. It only ruins it just buy it.
There are better options out there.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory on the GameCube is quite a solid game on its own. However, if you have an Xbox or a PC, there is absolutely no reason to purchase this inferior version, unless you're a collector or something. If you only own a GameCube, this version isn't too bad.
First of all, the GameCube version of Chaos Theory lacks any kind of online play and attempts to make up for it with some gimmicky GBA connectivity. This is pretty cool, but it's nowhere near as cool as online would be. The innovative versus mode is completely gone, and the co-op can only be played on one system.
On its own, the single player of Chaos Theory is very good. You'll play as a cool spy named Sam Fisher, just like the previous two Splinter Cell games. There are ten high risk stealth missions in all; each are long and fun. The game takes around ten hours to finish your first time through, but there are plenty of reasons to play again as well. There are multiple paths throughout the levels, the option to play as a shooter, the multiple levels of difficulty as well as the success ratings.
When you're done with single player, the co-op offers a few extra missions that you can play with a friend. You get some co-op exclusive abilities, such as the Human Ladder. This is cool and adds significant replay value.
However, the GameCube version, when compared to the Xbox and PC, and even worse, some GameCube exclusive glitches.
In conclusion, if you have a GameCube, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is a good game on its own. If you're a fan of Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, you'll enjoy Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. It offers some nice new things (co-op). But when compared to the Xbox and PC versions, there is no reason at all to purchase this version. The GameCube version is inferior in nearly every way, which is a shame. Its lack of any online play and its significantly worse single player bring its score down, making this tough to recommend. Especially when there are better options out there.
Amazing game

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos theory is by far the best looking Splinter Cell to date, thoought the graphic quality is weaker than that of the PC and Xbox, it still loks simply amazing. The sound is very well done in this game, but it's character voices try to be funny and interesting, and if im being honest, they really arent all that funny. But there are alot of sounds for each type of surface sam, or any other character, steps on. The controls are my main issue. They use some-what complicated Z button contols. The one thing i truely love about this game is co-op mode. Its so fun to play the missions with a friend, that even after you beat it the first time, you'll definetly play it again.
GFX:4.5/5

Probably What I Hope For

When you read this, first, keep in mind, that I have never played the game before writing this. However, all of Tom Clancy's works are excellent, and to prove this, but Ghost Recon, Read any of this many books, or watch some of the book based movies. The excitement and dedication he puts into the products you use are amazing. But I am a die-hard Tom Clancy fan, and I don't think that anyone who disagrees with his novels has really either, 1) Read the entire thing, 2) likes him.
