its a very fun game almost matching up to dreamcasts rayman 2.It has lots of new powers like cool suits and cool bad guys and a different battle system which is cool. The graphics are cartoony but good and the music is cool and the voice of john liguazamo are sometimes really funny. Its pretty much a wacky fun game for any age so have fun.

3 and a half stars

Rayman as a series rules, but this isnt one of their best. I think they took complaints about the difficulty level too seriously , because this game is way easy, and all about flinging fireballs madly like gauntlet more than adventuring and puzzle solving like the other ones. Also, the game is pretty short. That said, it has some good plusses as well. The visuals are awesome/fantasyish, the enemies are varied and fun, the bosses are fun to beat, and then there's the other thing; the tunnels, for lack of a better word, are what stand out in my mind. There's only like 2 or 3 in the game, but after beating it I found myself replaying them over and over again. They are tunnels with psychedelic backgrounds, wherein the jazzy/funk/orchestra music totally responds to your characters actions. It moves along and you must follow, by jumping from note to note, and if you fall(as it does move quite quickly), you are picked up and set back on again, accompanied by a wailing saxophone note or something similar. I wish there had been more of these in the game.

Great Game

Long time ago I played Rayman 2, great game. The ending was a little dissapointing, since i wanted more game. But don't get me wrong it was still a good game. Now rayman3 comes out, even better. It doesn't blow rayman2 away but its better. If your gonna get a gamecube game i recommend this game.

I can still remember..

(cont.) waking up that christmas when I was (can't tell, sorry) years old, and then running downstairs to the chimney, and there it was. Rayman 2: The Great Escape. I played it and when I finally beat it (in 14 days may I add) I was both overjoyed, and covered with agony. I had beaten I game, and a darn good one! but I had also put myself through the agony of reading the words: " And so we are safe, until a new enemy appears."- er something like that. And so I waited for (once again, sorry) years, hiding in my little cave-er house-er living, in my little-er I mean fairly regular sized house, hehe. And then that faithful day I saw on IGN.com: Rayman 3 announced. I after that I was so happy I (sigh, sorry). And so I will know reveal some things I know about this game

- Globox eats the Lord of the Dark lums, and the whole plot is the Hoodlums( My-er the Lord of the Dark Lums Slaves, er somethin') trying to save me-er him.

-Raymans got new moves, new costume, and english, ya heard me english over (yep ya know, sorry) years. Before he said stuff like " Ai wan de Rayman"

- Need you know more?

So, I recomend, you buy this game, BY ALL MEANS NESSASARY!

Oh yeah, as for the bad guys name, well uh, his name, is um, uh, OH, um I uh, got to feed my fish, to my cat, to my Darkl-er I mean dog, and then put him back in his uh-bowl.

with non of the due respect
Andre

From what I've seen, this game is a strong compeditor against the Jak & Daxter and Rachet and Clank series. It has pretty good graphics with some low frame rates, decent sound, and original gameplay which will most likely keep you addicted. Worth the money? You decide.

Eww, Rayman talks!!! (pukes on the controller)

I'm 46, just using the kid's review.

I must say that I loved Rayman 2. One of it's most endearing features was the gibberish that the characters spoke. There's just a certain charm that reading text has that "talking games" don't. All blown to bits in Rayman 3.

The characters in Rayman 3 have english voice acting. Rayman's new voice was particularly upsetting, very american and sarcastic. In fact, the whole game feels like it got it's inspiration from that nightmare from Rare, Conker's Bad Fur Day. No severe vulgarity of course, unless you count Globox being drunk. That's right, Globox gets drunk. Poor, poor taste. This is not the Rayman I remember, Ubisoft. Rayman Raving Rabbids for Wii wasn't much better either. Get back on track Ancel, you're ruining the series, even though you had little to do with this installment.
