I had been hunting this game down everywhere and one day I happen to find it sitting on the shelf at my favorite electronic store. I am disappointed. The game was copyrighted in 2000 and I am wondering if it's been out in Japan that long and it just took them that long to put it out in the states. The reason I say that is that it has does not meet the standards of most of todays games. It's choppy, the camera angles are all over the place and it still has to load each screen. I thought those loading days were behind us. It was very simple, more suited for younger children. I got through the first couple of stages and probably would have played through to the end but it just didn't flow well and it took too long to load. I was so anxious to get this game as I am a huge Hello Kitty collector. The graphics were pretty good and the characters were fun too. Hopefully they use her again in a better game but we'll just have to wait and see.
little disapointed

I bought this for my 3 year old who loves Hello Kitty. I searched everywhere for this game. This is not a game for little ones who are starting out. It's more for the older kids because you have to push several buttons and have to move Hello Kitty around certain ways. Overall, this is really cute but for older kids who know how to play.
Cute graphics, entertaining and rate your skills

Each level you go through, you get a score on how well you did in the level. You also are able to unlock clothing, items, music, videos etc. There are hints that you are supposed to read in order to unlock some of them. The good thing about this game is that it can be a little tricky. I wish it could have been a little longer though. It didn't take me very long to beat it. Definately worth it for any Hello Kitty fan.

Why would anyone buy this, its awful, the plot sucks, the graphics stink, and the gameplay is futile. Buy a game from the "Katamari" series if your looking the pass the time with a child friendly game.
Fun for kids, Hello Kitty fans

If you like simple, fun games that are colorful and fairly easy to play, you'll like this game. If you like Hello Kitty, you'll like this game. If you like both of the aforementioned things, like I do, you'll love this game. It's cute and simple and good for Hello Kitty fans.
Is GameCube now a Kitty system?

The assumption that Hello Kitty: Roller Rescue is only fun for young girls is a load of crap. Sure, it may have been designed with young girls in mind and it does have a cutesy aura and it is pretty short, but it's also fun as well, and it has the ability to attract male gamers over the age of 20. I should know; I happen to be one. That's not to say the game is perfect though. I still haven't bought a copy for myself. The music is hardly catchy, Kitty moves like she has gum stuck in her skates, and the gameplay isn't that challenging. It's basically a cheap clone of Super Mario 64 with less platform jumping. You get a few sidekicks though. In the end, it's not that bad and it's not that great, but it isn't torture to play.
Violence made cute!

Hello Kitty must save ther hometown from alien invaders. She is given a wand(weapon) jumping rollerbaldes and a new cute dress. Is violence made cute as the player goes through various stages (parts of Sanrio Town) collecting coins to unlock characters, new dresses(battle costumes) and magic wands (handweapons). In order to achieve this levels must played over and over, or go through the entire game once it has been finsihed. Is violence made cute because Hello Kitty hits the aliens with her wand, or makes a magic burst that explodes them all over the place.Boss battles are simple with the exeption of the last one and one in the middle where the player is required to have good aim using a cannon.
Kitty uses various attacks on the alien invaders and the help of other Sanrio characters the player has rescued or unlocked. The game is very simple, meant for a younger crowd, hence why only released on Gamecube, but nevertheless fun to look at and play as a change for the usual hack and slash more violent games. The controls are easy to use, this game, unlike others in the GC make use of the B button constantly. Some areas require long distance jumps and in some places the camera dosen't do a good job of keeping the player focused on Hello Kitty whe she gets too close; she tends to get way too close or disappear briefly.
Is not the greatest game but is it certainly entertaining with great sound, exellent graphics and cinemathics.
