My son (7 yrs old) wanted this as soon as it came out - we ran out & bought it & what a disappointment! He played it one time & has never touched it again! Very slow loading times after every sceen almost & just outright boring! If you are looking for a game for a 2 yr old - buy this one, otherwise do not waste your $$

First of all, I'll say this game is great! The levels are fun, the cinematics are beautiful, and the controls are simplistic enough. I bought a NEW copy of the game, and played through to the 3rd level where you must frantically scurry from a Scuba diver. Really great job to THQ on the realism behind this chase! Once I got to the next cinematic, an "error" message appears on screen. Keep in mind, I had absolutely no quarrels with load time on my game as previous reviewers have stated. After having the same "error" appear three different times, I took the game back for an exchange. I bring the next NEW copy home and now it takes 2 - 5 minutes to load the game between levels. How incredibly annoying! In addition, the sound cuts out throughout the cutscenes, leaving my wife and I to be absolutely annoyed beyond belief. Now, I have to take THIS copy back to see if I can get a "better" copy. I'm a patient person, but this crap is best suited for stiffs! What really makes me mad is the electronics store's policy on opened games: "Exchange for same title only!" Did THQ test this game before releasing it, or do you just have to keep trying until you get a CD that actually works? Good luck!
Disappointed

Just this weekend we purchased the GameCube system for my 4 year old son for his birthday. We purchased this game thinking it would be fun and exciting just like watching the movie. Unfortunately, the game is rather difficult and boring. It's only for one player and it's really geared more towards adults than children. There is only ONE game to play and you can get stuck on one level for ever!! Unlike Mario Brothers games that give you lots of differrent game options. I would not recommend spending the price on this game, try something else.

hard to control and based on the movie. everything did not have to be identical to the movie! challenge then movie scene. that's what this game is.
Great graphics and NO waiting for "loading" times

This game is awesome. I bought it about a week ago, despite the reviews. Well, the reviews were WRONG. The loading time is, if any, 5 seconds. It can be a bit difficult at times, too. Oh, plus, it is mainly a game, NOT the movie, as a few people had said. It's more playing the game than watching the clips from the movie. If you are a fan of Nemo, or underwater games, buy this.
Horrible

How can such a great movie be made into such a terrible game? I could give you an idea of the frustration by typing the word "Loading" 1000 times here. That's about all you get from this game, anyway.
Good but...

The game's pretty fun, but the load times are horrible. I can't play it because it takes so long. if you don't mind waiting a minute to a minute and a half for load screens, then this isn't so bad, but I'm too impatient for it.

Seriously, when did this become player's choice? Let me tell you my story.
I was interesting in buying finding nemo, but figured it would be like watching the movie, so I was not so sure. But we bought it, and I played it. About 5 minutes into the game, it starting loading. I figured it was only going to last 5 seconds like other games I have played. WRONG. I must've stared at nemo for 5 straight minutes! All he did was move around! Since it was nighttime, I got tired and just fell asleep. I went back to toys 'r us and told him it might be the disc, but this started happening as soon as I got it. But he told me I probably scratched it somehow, So he gave me a new one. But when I came home, the same crud happened again! 2 whole minutes staring at nemo swim...slowly...but surely...onto yet another loading screen.
After playing this game, my eyes burned from staring and waiting so much.
Please dont buy this game.

I did not believe the people that said the load times were so aweful and went out and bought the game for my 3 year old. Was I horrified at the absolutely long load times for every aspect of the game. On top of that the controls for Nemo are kind of difficult for young kids. If you dont believe me, just rent it and see for yourself. It is TERRIBLE.
