Hello, I'd like to tell you about a game I've been playing on the side, Evolution Worlds for the Nintendo GAMECUBE! In this RPG you play as Mag Launcher, a bold and brave adventurer, you also control Linear, Pepper, Gre (Pronounced: Gray) Nade and Chain Gun. Their moves all include Attack, Special and Talent, Attack is your bassic attack, Special is a special attack using your "Cyframe" and Talent helps boost character's status, "Provoke" is when Chain teases Mag about being better, Mag gets ... and his attack goes up. The rest is a little more complicated. Over all I'd give it an 9-out-of-10 and 5 Stars!

Exclusive to Nintendo GC, Evolution Worlds is a action-oriented, turn-based RPG based on Evolution and E2 for DC. Join treasure hunter Mag Launcher as he takes on assignments for the Society in an effort to restore the reputation of his adventurous family.
Mag can take two characters on every adventure, choose from the mysterious heroine, Linear, helpful butler Gre Nade, or rival adventurer, ChainGun. Each character has his/her own set of special skills and talents to boost the stats of the team. Mag uses his power-packed Cyframe, essential equiptment for all serious adventurers, to defeat hordes of dungeon -dwelling enemies. As the story progresses, Mag learns about a Cyframe known as Evolutia and the efforts of the evil Eighth Empire to claim the prize. all of the games dungeons feature ramdomly generated layouts and enenmy configurations, which means that your experience will be different every time you return to a location. You'll return to dungeons often, too, because the number of treasures that you can hold is limited. With anime-style graphics, fully voiced dialogue(w/subtitles)and play that works well with the games style, EW is a fun and satisfying RPG experience.
Buy Skies of Arcadia Legends insteadh

Ok, if you want a good RPG for the GCN, this is not it. ... I don't think this game is worth it. Really monotonous dungeons and battles, though the anime looking characters are nice. Skies of Arcadia Legends is so much better than this game ...
It rules!

I think it is really fun to play because you get to do fun dungeouns and funny attacks like smashing an enemy with a frying pan! Another reason I like it is it has a realy fun story line but I haven't been able to get far with the time I have rented it but it is fun to play and you should try it by renting it then see what you think.

I enjoyed the dreamcast version of evolution a good bit. It's by no means a classic, but if you're desperate for an RPG this one will do. I do actually prefer the dreamcast version, but if you had to choose one system to take to college with you and your choices are a dreamcast and a gamecube, you're probably going to pick the latter.
The mere fact that it's a combination of both evolution games moved from the dreamcast to a more concrete system makes it a decent game, and worthy of the small amount of money it costs. It's a timekiller, it's just generally pretty fun. I'm not a huge RPG fan myself outside of the final fantasy series but this one gets the job done.
But again, it's no masterpiece. The new spoken English dialogue is cliche, irritating, infantile and worst of all, overused. But if you can stand to hear a voice that sounds like Naruto rambling on and on, or if you've got nothing better to do, play this game.
Also, my copy seems to skip halfway through the game when I select "new game". I assume it's a defected game since I bought it on ebay.
For more information this game has a wikipedia article.
Dunno why people say this is for kids

I'm 14. This game is fun. Wow. For 4-8 year olds. I dunno, FF never really rubbed off on me... always found Fire Emblem better.. and Evolution Worlds is actually good! Sure monster battles get repetitive but when you get to like level 60 and you get Carcano it's mad fun. Anyways I like the graphics, they are pretty good for Gamecube and the gameplay idea is very nice... you don't get "TOWNS" in FF! (OK maybe you do but not like this). Problem is there are only two but seriously it's a good buy overall and now it's really cheap.

I know noones going to think this is helpful, 'cuz it's not really a review, so try to be nice and not say it wasn't helpful. Just don' say anything. Anyways, heres my statement; coaco0003, it's called GCN: when you say the whole thing its Nintendo GameCube, when you abbreviate it's GCN. Don't ask me why they switch the Nintendo around. Oh, and I havn't really played the game, but they forced me to put a rating. Sorry:-(
A huge disapointment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Dreamcast version got boring really quickly so I wouldnt say this game is any better. Although there are the ever-changing dungens the game for Dreamcast just isnt very good. Why should this one be better? I dont know, but the Dreamcast version was too kiddy for me.
Great game

This game is a bit kiddy, but it gets to you. It gets annoying at this one part when they talk too much. If your not an rpg fan then you really shouldn't chose this game, but its great for all rpg fans. I myself am at 5 hours out of about 40 hours of gameplay and am curious of the next adventure. You should really think about this game if your an rpg fan, trust me :)
