This game is EXCELLENT for developing children's rhythmic skills! It's such a fun game that they don't realize that they're developing their right brain's musical and mathematical skills! PURE BRILLIANCE!!! I don't even want to limit my kids' playing time on this thing, except when I want to play, that is!
fun all around

Okay, if your out for a game to teach your kids to count, this isnt something you need. now if you are looking for something to entertain your hyperactive cousin while his/her parents are out, then this is a really good idea. at first, it is kinda difficult to play because you feel alittle ridiculous, but i promise that feeling will pass. the only problem i have found with this game is it is EXTREMLY adictive. the rythym fills you and all of your problems melt away. everything seems trivial as you beat on the drums. but your hands do get pretty raw after about 3 hours of clapping and slapping. but like i said, its pretty hard to stop. if you have a hard time getting the kids to do chores now, wait till they start to beat the drums and play along to thier favorite songs. once you play you wont be able to wait for the release of the next game in this series!

If you've already broken the Dance Dance Revolution machine at the local arcade, then Donkey Konga will be too easy and too simple for you. For those of the "all things Nintendo" mindset whose rhythm experience is limited to watching a friend play Parappa the Rapper, Donkey Konga may be just what you need. It's easily accessible to the whole family and can be a lot of fun with a group of individuals willing to jive. The song selection is a little odd and limited, but I really enjoyed playing this game, and I hope Nintendo releases the sequel in the U.S., because I'm craving more.

This has to be the best new game out there for all ages. It is fun and educational using both right and left sides of the brain. The levels are challenging but great fun. It creates giggle-fest at our home. The only thing I wished was that we had purchased it sooner as it would even be great fun with a crowd. One or two could bongo and the others can clap along.

I love the concept of the game. At first it was hard to keep up with the rhythm. But once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing. But my hand and wrists get tired and sore after awhile. But it does build hand, eye, and rhythm coordination. The game has a good selection of songs to pound away at. My favorite if. "Whip It". Can't wait till Jungle Beat comes out. I hope more games are developed using the bongos. My only problem with the game is that when you play with multiplayers and when they clap, it records on your bongos which can ruin your perfect streak.
fun, but needs better selection of songs

I love the gae, because it doesn't have the pressure of trying to "beat the game" there is no "boss" at the end, infact there is no "end" to the game. I wish there was a better selection of songs, Tested and approved as a fun game for parties, with or without extra bongos.
Fun party game!

This game is a fun party game. We took our bongos up to a family gathering and had everyone in the house clamoring over them! It was a hoot!

you should buy this game, and 3 extra drum sets. if you like playing music, then you'll LOOOOOVE this game. i bought it yesterday and i got so tired coz i was playing it for hours. playing it kinda feels like patty-cake, but in a good way. its REALLY fun with 2-4 players! if you are broke, and dont have enough cash to get all 4 drumsets, you should at least have 2, because playing together with someone else can be great fun. but dont feel bad if you dont have any friends because playing solo is great fun too. you should get this game, even if you dont have that much rhythm, because there's varying difficulties, which makes it fun for all ages. it's an excellent game for young kids to start learning about music and rhythm, and it also makes a really good drinking game for adults.
Amazing....but just one small problem.

I bought this game yesterday and my friends and I had so much fun!!!! Of course all my friends and I love Dance Dance Revolution so we had a blast. The gaming is great and it is so entertaining. This is a little better than dance dance revolution because this has over 30 songs that you know and recognize. From Classics, Children's, Nintendo Classics, and Today's Pop. This is definately a party game!!! So if you have a lot of parties buy this. This game is great for all ages!
But the only problem is since there is a few amount of song choices....i know ill get tired of the same old songs over and over. But they do have different levels of difficulty and some mini games. I Hope they Come out with another one soon.
