I remember back in the good old days when TONS of these suckers were all over my room. Tahu, Kopaka, Lewa, Gali, and a bunch of other odd named Lego sets ruled my life. THEY WERE GREAT! Creative, fun, amazing story and character detail, I loved them! Then they made the movie, which for a story based on Lego sets was amazingly good. THEN came this travesty. I thought this was gonna be the greatest game ever, boy was a wrong. First of all, every character has somekinda blade (except Pohatu), sometimes a REALLY BIG blade. Do we use these? Uh-uh. We point at someone and zap them with our "elemental energy". Oh-boy. Next, this game takes... maybe 4 hours to beat. And believe me, the replay value is in the negatives. Next, the difficulty. Some levels are so incredibly easy, because, for one, you have infinite lives. But of course there are other levels where you will spend WAAAAAAAY to much time doing the same impossible task just because you keep dying... and starting at the beginning... AGAIN. Of course there are some checkpoints, so that kinda helps. The story is a mashed version of over 3 years of Bionicle lore, all rolled up into about 15 minutes of cutscenes. The only redeeming aspect of this game id the visuals. Not great, but sometimes very good eye-candy. Other then that, PITIFUL. Save yourself the money, there are MUCH better Gamecube games on the market.

Please, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!! It's really boring and 75% of the Bionicle storyline is not in it. It's also very boring to play. I had a choice of getting this or Zelda: The Wind Waker for FREE(yes, I said free), and I chose this. Me and my stupid choices.
PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS GAME!!

When I got this game I thought it would great but it turned out 3 quarters bad. If they make another Bionicle vidio game than theese are 4 things they should change. 1.Choose your own toa for the whole game. 2.Make it less linear. 3.Touch up the sound and graphics. 4.You should make it so you can level up and gain more life gauge. Do NOT buy this game unless you really really love Bionicle.

This is a really bad game. I think Lego made it just to put the word Bionicle on a game. Many times the camera angles are bad and the auto aim really sucks. It is simply not fun. In many missions they just have the Toah running around collecting items for a pointless reason. And the controls are very bad. There is nothing for anyone here. Please ndon't buy this game.

This game was a huge HUGE HUGE HUGE dissapointment, I expected better of Bionicle. I've been a Bionicle fan from the begining, and I an severly dissapointed in this game. WARNING, DO NOT BUY,

This game can be fun, but was somewhat of a dissapointement to me. I was looking for a game where you can run around Mata Nui. However, each Toa and Toa Nuva is confined to their own Wahi. Also, there are many powers that the Toa Nuva have but are unused. In the movie, Onua Nuva has a power that sends a beam at the floor and makes rocks go at Rahkshi or any other enemies. He can't do that in the game. However, some parts, like the snowboarding with Kopaka, are very fun.
Too easy for my 10-year-old

Great graphics, but my 10-year-old beat it in three hours. That's not much fun for a $40 game.

I had a choice between getting this and "Enter the Matrix" at Best Buy. I chose this because I was a big Bionicle Fan. So I got to my friend's place, tore open the box and plugged in the game. Within a few hours worth of play time, it was done.
Now let me lengthen that a bit. Basically I got the game and found it to be a little dissapointing. The graphics were okay for backgrounds but could have used a lot of work on your characters and enemies. The gameplay is simplistic and only certain points will become mildly challenging. The action could have used some work as just shooting your foes with light orbs wasn't all that adventurous. The storyline sticks fairly close to that of the real Bionicle however they cut things off to easy. They don't mention Cahdok and Gahdok, queens of the Bohrok, they don't show half of the Bohrok swarms and the different sagas intertwine with each other too much. The sounds were okay. The voices could have used some work but the music was pretty good. FX also were lacking. Overall it's good to rent as that's all the time you need to beat it.
My advice to LEGO and EA: Make a large platformer next time you try a Bionicle game. Start from the beginning, actually having to collect Kanohi masks and battle Makuta, then send in the Bohrok swarms, leading up to the Bahrag's first defeat and then the Bohrok Kal, collecting Kanohi Nuva, their defeat followed by the Rahkshi and the Seventh Toa saga. The graphics can be touched up a notch for all consoles and the sounds could be better too. Since part of it was based on the movie, you should try to get the movie voiceovers to help with this as well. Also try to let the person choose which Toa to play as, follow their storyline, ocassionally cross paths with the other Toa and collect their masks. I was very dissapointed at the fact that Kopaka Nuva was never shown in the game, since he rocked in the movie.
Why oh why didn't I take "Enter the Matrix"?
