Okay this game doesn't totally stink. The only reason it's a 2 instead of a 1 is because i like the road track style racing it has. (on only two different road tracks, and like 5 different total tracks) But It isn't good enough to even be called a rip-off of gran turismo. they have kind-of simlar tracks. but not near as many. and on a rating of 1-10 for graphics auto modellista gets a 1. the cars look like they were drawn for a comic book or something. they don't even look real. you have a career but you don't have to buy cars. you have to earn like 10 if that and most of them aren't even that great. you can have any car you want and any number of cars you want for no cost. the game is not even a challenge. it sucks. i totally regret buying this game. its a waste of money. this game isn't even a fraction of the game that gran tuismo is... Don't waste your money to buy this game.

Ignore the previous review. This game was not suppose to look real. the reason it looks like it was drawn out of a comic book was because it uses cell shading much like Zelda and Viewtiful Joe. Most racing games are realistic looking ,this one is not. If you don't mind the style, this is a solid game with many cars including models from Toyota, Honda etc besides the usual powerhouses. I recommend this game if you are tired of Nascar and F-1 cars. Some of these cars u can basically see on the street.
if you want GT3, buy GT3...

i've read a lot of reviews on this game. i've played need for speed 2 on GCN. There isn't anything like GT3 for the GCN. this game is fast, has nice customization of the cars, decent tracks, good AI if you bump up the difficulty. the interface gets a bit into the weeds when you're customizing but once you get into the gaming it's great.
i would beel better about the game if it was a bit less than $40. if you can get it for $20 go for it. GCN doesn't have too many racing games that are snappy and quick. this is a fast paced one with a different twist. but don't expect it to be GT3.

Look The Only Reason I give this game a 1 is because I can't give it a zero. Seriously This Game Is so Horrible that even my local garbage man wouldn't take it. I've Got to say Capcom keep with the comics that way you wont get sued. If you have ever played Zelda for the gamecube you probly are used to the graphics but Capcom goes to a whole new world. I was a little annoyed by how it seemed like it was takeing some of the tracks from GT3. If you still want to find this game look 4 the racooon thing in the toilet isle.
Cool name, amazing graphic .... horrible game play?!?!

A buddy and I bought this game together. We had high expectation for this game. We both took our games home and played it on our separate PS2 machines. We both hated it.
The good thing about the game is the graphic. Everything is sureal, animated and just fun to look at. That being said, the controls STINK. I love racing games and I was expecting a loose and fun game out of this title. Instead, the controls are horrible to play with. You can't drift properly... the game is trying to act like REAL car environment... which does not make sense under the "animated" design.
When I try to slide, slow down, or drift... I tend to spin out of control. You either have to control the car PERFECTLY or else you just spin out and slam against the wall all the time. If you bump or get bumped by a car ... you better watch out cause you might just spin out because of the contact.
I seriously attempted to LIKE this game, but there was nothing I could have done to make it more enjoyable for me to play this game. I just could not grasp the idea of what the designers were attempting to get out of this game. They try to make it similiar to GT3, but turns out to be horrible experience and nothing like GT3.
I give this game 2 stars because I liked the name of the title and I like the graphics display. I expected much more out of this game and was sorely dissappointed. I will trade this game in for another game soon.... this game is NOT recommended unless you just have too much money in your pocket. Don't even bother renting it, because you'll take the entire rental period just to try to learn how to control the car. Go with V-Rally3, NFSU, or the classic GT3 if you enjoy racing games on PS2.

I have played and owned Need For Speed Underground, Sega GT, Sega GT 2002, and Gran Turismo. Now, if you are looking for a simulation game where car physics are close to real, you are in the wrong place. If, on the other hand, you want some of the customization like NFSU and you want a fun game, this may be your ticket. The customization is great, there is no need to save up money and start beating races right away to start customizing, you can also tune your car without the need of beating races and earning money first, but of course, you do get better stuff the farther along in the game you go. Now, the physics just don't cut it for me, the cars do not react like they would in the real world, and that may turn most people off.
All in all, I got this game used and at it's price, I got a good deal, it's fun and gives me something to do for a couple hours a day, although I would not reccomend this game to a real car enthusiast.

Auto Modellista is a fun racing game. It has realistic handling and great music. ANd the cel shading adds another awesome aspect to this game. It has a showcase of awesome real life cars, som you would only dream of owning. But you can race with right here. A definete must have. Race On!

this game is amazing! i saw it was $30 on amazon and ebay so i googled it and got it for $10! when i brought it home i played it all day! it took me about an hour to get used to the uniqe physics of the game but it was so worth it! this game has its physics tilting toward the drifting style of racing instead of slow and go... i reccomend this game for everyone i love this game!!!!!
