I have heard alot about this game ever since I got into Yuugiou( yes, it's actually spelled and pronounced that way. )
This is an RPG type game. It is NOT like WWE or EDS. You DO walk around as a character, thus, the RPGness. I just hate what Konami is doing with the series, and the videogames. This is being released too early! If you look at the box you can see a tower-like building in the backround. Recognize it? If not, then you shouldn't be playing this game. Why you ask? Because it takes place near the end of the battle city season. I think you should be able to know the storyline of the game first, but that's just my opinion. And the other reviewer is right. Mariku (Marik to you dubwatchers) does not want to be phaoroh.
But enough about that for now, let's talk about the game itself.
In the game you roam around and buy cards and get information and duel people to get puzzle cards. Yes, not "Locator cards", Puzzle cards. The duel system is a little different from what I've heard. You don't always start with 8000 LP. You do at first, and if you win a duel you get more as a reward. If you lose all your LP through the game, it's Game Over. And opponents you duel won't always have 8000 LP either. Some of them--like Pegasus--will have alot more. (Yeah I said Pegasus. You didn't know he was coming back? Well, he is.)
Probably over 10,000 I think. Yeah, that's why alot of the reviews I've heard have been bad. Because it's too hard.
I say, if you're a hardcore fan, or a good duelist(, or both) buy it. But if you're under 10 years old, forget it. 10 year olds shouldn't even be watching the show( if it was released in it's real form of aweXomeness, not some cr*ppy dub.)
In conclusion, I'd only get it for a collectors item and the Promo cards.

wut i think best about this game is the fact you get to walk around,more monsters,better graphics then the other ones and you get to use the god cards. if you dont have all of good cards then buy a guide....

I was quite impressed with this game but it had a few down points:

1.) The game was too short, as soon as you got on Kaiba's blimp I thought I was going to face the big five like in the program but instead once you defeat Marik you give the God Cards to Ishizu and the game ends. So you never get to use the God Cards and once the game ends you can't carry it on, collecting the cards.

2.) At the beginning of the game your opponent uses predictable moves like all of them placed one monster, face down in defence mode. The game only gets challenging when you face Weevil.

If you like a short and snappy game this one if for you.

This is the best game of all of other Yu-Gi-Oh games because you can use the mighty and powerful the EGYPITAN GOD CARDS of unbeatable strength of to destroy the Life Points of the opponent LP:

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards is OK. It's "evolved" into "a card battling RPG". It's evolved into some thing worse, if you ask me. For some reason, Konami decided to abandon the traditional Yu-Gi-Oh! card play and opt for something unfamiliar and only loosely based on the actual game.

But the gameplay is good, and it is accurate to the show's storyline. you can duel a lot of duelists in the show, including some secret duels. Additionally, you can use the Egyptian God cards. However, you can only use two of them, and the use is limited, so don't expect to be able to use them like you can in the show.

This game has very little replay value. I beat it in two days. Unfortunately, after the final duel, after the credits roll, it just displays a picture of Yugi and 'The End'. After that, nothing happens. Your only choice is to turn the game off. Then it reverts to before the final duel, if you saved. Blah. You never get a chance to use the final Egyptian God card.

Final word. Parents, don't buy this. Wait for the next one. Kids, don't whine. It's not worth it. Wait for the next game.

This game is so cool! u actually get to walk around battle city! u could also play with the all mighty egyption god cards but I dont know about exodia.There are 100people you could duel and 900 cards. The three cards it comes with is Perfectly Ultimate great moth,negate attack and Ryoku. So whoever is a gigantic Yu-Gi-Oh fan has to buy ( or rent) this game

This game is the best because u can finally play the 3 god cards.it is also said that u can walk around. i will get this game on the first day it comes out.it is gonna be awsome.i am the best yugioh dueler ever.
it is also said u can play for cards. how co0l is that
i hope u get to ride on the blimp when u find out what the location is when u get 6 locater cards the rare cards in this game r the 3 gods,and the temple.it looks like the best game ever i will get it

This game is pretty much easy for me anyway because I could beat this game every day and win the entire game with in 3 HOURS with the help of 1 extra item and its called the GAME SHARK its a machine its not a game that allows you to beat any VIDEO Game Depending on the game system for example the Game Shark for GAME BOY ADAVNCE it will only work on GAMEBOY ADVANCE games and the SP system as well when you use the GAME SHARK on The Sacred Cards you don't need to use very low attack power and Defense power u could win any body with in 1-6 turns
bacause you get the following:

DECK CAPACIRTY : 9,999
DUELIST LEVEL : 9,999
MONEY/DOMINO : 999999 well something like that but its 9's.

And you can automatically use HIGH ATTACK POWER like DARK ELF with an attack strength of 2000 DEF 0800 very high. Well I will talk back A.S.A.P on another GAME REVIEW.
