Picking up the Yu-Yu Hakusho storyline from the Dark Tournament saga, players take control of 5 Yu Yu Hakusho character to go all the way and win the tournament. Being simular in gameplay to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, I was already pleased that this game was taking it's form. The game is enjoyable, with intresting cutscenes and it always feels good when a new character joins your squad. You need to have a strategic mind to play however, and it is really annoying when you put in all the time and effort to defeat the opponent, for one of them wipes out one of your squad in 1 or 2 hits. Overall, a really good game that appeals to not just Yu Yu Hakusho fans, but prior knowledge of the show and Dark Tourament saga will allow you to enjoy the game better.
YYH: The bestr GBA game ever.

This is a great/must have game for all Yu Yu fanatics. Over all it's a great play and must have collection. The game is kinda like Final Fantasy Tactics but much more simplified version. Though there are a few area I wish it was better but as far as it goes, I say it's pretty darn good.
Graphic is cute and nice, better that the Spirit Dectative one.
10-11 characters to play with, and you take 5 into battle most of the time.
All character uses their signiture moves from the animation/manga.
The only few things I wish they could have done better are...do some kind of bonus/cheat thing for Genkai so that you can keep her alive all the time because they sure kill her fast in the middle of the game. Make Kurama stronger, cause he really is a powerful character in the animation. Take off the level cap and even Special skill cap cause lvl only goes up to 32.
OVer all it's a great game, I guess maybe it's not as popular as FF games here in the USA and that's why they didn't go all out for it.
MUST HAVE FOR YUU YUU FANATICS
Very enjoyable!

I thought this game was awesome. I am a huge fan of the TV series and manga. The game was just like it and had all of the characters with several different attacks. It is a game that lasts a while too, containing numerous levels/stages. The graphics were well done. This is a must buy for all Yu Yu Hakusho fans.
And the score is no longer perfect. Kurplunk!

If you wanna add to the noise and give me yet another bad vote for my review, so be it. But I didn't understand this game at all. I was looking for a strategy RPG and this mess didn't cut it at all.
Although the characters as a whole in this series are very intriguing, especially the fire dude, this game was flat out weird and confusing.
And it's not fun. Take my word for it! It's abysmal and such.
I really tried to get into it, but I didn't understand all of it! And when I played, I was like, this is it? I gotta fight this zombie dude, and that's it? And he was kinda hard. It seemed very hard and was frustrating, so I sold it!
1 star. Not fun at all.
